Emily really does sing it beautifully. Liam does right to highlight how it should sound. He does not do right to rub in the fact that we have to endure somebody trying to do it, rather than being 'able' to do it. I'm simply not willing to risk £18.90 on the cheapest seat if it is going to be 'sh!t' for want of a better word!

I'm not sure he's rubbing anything in - and it is still your choice to see (or not) this production. Not sure how he could praise her, highlighting it should sound like that, without being accused of rubbing in the UK tour. £18.90 is quite specific - is that an ATG theatre with their £2.90+£4 booking fees? |

...and yes, that is the price of the cheapest ticket (for a grown up) plus fees. Of course it is my choice to go or not go (I won't be). I would happily pay a lot more to see Mr Doyle & Ms Tierney in the parts, but cannot in my current financial situation stretch to a plane ticket to the far east. Should my lottery jackpot win coincide with their remaining dates I'm right there! 😀

I agree Sarah Harding is VERY attractive, but then again so is Pixie Lott, but she can sing and act. Sing, I'll grant you, POL, but did you see her act in "Breakfast At Tiffany's"? Something I will say is that having seen "Ghost," I now have a far deeper admiration for all those who have undergone proper MT training, given the rest of the cast's work. I actually liked Pixie in Breakfast at Tiffany's, nothing incredible, but I found her performance itself good, her singing beautiful!  |

Something I will say is that having seen "Ghost," I now have a far deeper admiration for all those who have undergone proper MT training, given the rest of the cast's work. Hi saw Pixie in previews where I said on here that pixie Lott isn't just easy on the eye and was surprised how good she was. The the reviews came out where Michael Billington said "Pixie Sparkles". To appreciate how cheap and gaudy this production is you really need to have seen the original, it is like seeing the Cirque Du Soleil then at a later time seeing a circus on the local green and as exciting as watching a sheepdog jump through hoops. |

The Hippodrome are the main provider of competition prizes to the Weston Mercury, so I'm not surprised that the review is so blandly positive...or maybe the reviewer actually enjoyed some elements. My cynical side found it damning in it's faint praise and sly dig at Harding. Tonight would be the only night I could go so if her URT infection returns can someone post asap. Ta 😁

I said it'd be tattoos, and I was right. Why don't they just use make up? IT was a close fitting skin coloured bandage, I wouldn't have noticed if my friend hadn't said anything. Makeup rubs off onto costumes too. |

David Thaxton wore wristbands as Enjolras to cover up his tattoos, a trend which has carried on over to other London Enjolras' (Enjolrai? Enjolrati? Enjolrases?) regardless of whether they have tattoos.
I remember Matt Cardle kept his tattoos in Memphis, I suppose there was far too much of them to cover up but it did make me question why a record store worker in the 50s/60s Deep South was able to have tattoos, there was far more of a taboo about them then.

Matt Willis's tattoos were on full view in Wicked during his stint as Fiyero. Ramin is covered with them, and it does make me wonder how this might affect future roles, where they can't be covered by costumes and might not fit in with the time period of this hypothetical show.

I was gonna say Matt Willis too, there was no hiding his tattoos, but I suppose it works for that role kinda haha! The same way American Idiot has their cast show off tattoos. |
