Yes I agree, it’s a great little show, and £15 is a bargain. I paid £25 or so on tour and felt it was well worth it.

Emails have gone out for BOGOF deal on the top price tickets.
Gala performance tomorrow night with the bonus of Take That and Robbie performing at the end. Wish I was going!

Am I right in thinking programmes are £10 brochures?

I saw this last night from a £15 Royal Circle seat (an absolute bargain, aisle row F - if you spot them on sale, don’t hesitate) just to see whether or not it’s complete rubbish and... it’s not. As far as jukebox shows go, it’s definitely on the better side. The songs feel only slightly shoehorned in and the plot, while fairly cliché, has plenty of heart and a sprinkling of decent humour. The boys are nice eye-candy (one particular scene with leather harnesses is a treat) and when singing harmony their voices sound beautiful. However, only one or two of them had voices that impressed me when they were singing solo. The girls/women are all good and the set is imaginative if a little projection-heavy. I’d say it’s a solid 3 stars - a fab night out for any Take That fan, and a bit of fun with a touching story for anyone else.

Row H 19-20 really great seats stallswere practically sold out not sure about other levels but looked pretty full Well after avoiding this show for so long and never really wanting to see it..... I’ve got to say I enjoyed it ... probably about a 7/10 show for me Thought overall good story and use of the songs I liked the set and projections all worked well too got a good deal on tickets think if I had paid more maybe would have felt a little shortchanged But have seen a lot worse for a lot more Money 😊😮

Never thought I'd say this but I really, really enjoyed this tonight!
Great £15 seats on the end of the royal circle- provided a great view and good legroom/comfort.
The show is a lot more than I thought it would be, a lot more emotional as well. There were parts when 'the boys' were just chucked in for the sake of it, but nonetheless, it all worked and thought, for the most part, it was a great evening out. My mother loved it, cried and laughed the whole way through, glad she loved this so much- not only were the songs she grew up with weaved throughout, the stories told drew a lot of parallels to her own life.
It touched me quite frankly. No way will it change the world, nor will it win many awards, but it was a very enjoyable night out!

I also had a good time when I went, despite knowing none of the music and finding the plot a bit samey, along the lines of Calendar Girls/The Girls, ETAJ, BILB, Made In Dagenham, etc. It took a while to grow on me but ended up happy that I had been, and stayed for the 2nd half (I was tired as usual by early evening and had to hang around for 3 hours after the end of a matinee for this.)
Also sat in the front row of the Royal Circle, though a few seats in from the far end and found it brilliant value for £15 and with a great view, so thank you again to the OP for the tip-off.

Did they ever release a cast recording of this? I seem to remember it was announced but can’t find anything.

Nothing yet.
I don't think it has been put on here but the boys announced that after the show they are going to go their separate ways and not carry on with the "Five to Five" and they set up for the TV show.

Take That appeared on the scene in 1990.
They've been around a while and so have their fans!

Looks like this will indeed be returning next year. The last tweet from the show when the last tour ended was that it would be back in 2021...

I wonder if 'very soon' suggests that it will be back on the road later this year, rather than next?
There are now theatres with empty slots in desperate financial need of a production that is guaranteed to put bums on seats.
When this is all over, I don't imagine it would take long to get the show up and running again, with its simple set, which is probably in storage, and relatively small cast. With other work in short supply, many of the original cast could probably be persuaded to reprise their roles.

It's certainly a possibility I'm sure some theatres would love a financially table production which this likely would provide. The production has been on tour abroad recently with some of the UK covers and so would be quite a simple one to remount and get rehearsed. Will be interesting to see just how quickly is very soon.

Not quite what happened. If she's been cast in this he contract in Ghost will have ended, she wont just pull out. Except she was announced in the show, promoted it on her website, gave dates for people when she'd be on and encouraged people to come and see her and then didn't go into it because she got offered a lead......I guess if she's already a lead in The Band she won't need to do that I heard the producer changed her contract once she said yes. Dodged a bullet if you ask me...
