Apparently on the One Show they made it sound like it was selling out in one day. They said the London run had already sold 50% of tickets. There's nothing like a bit of FOMO to drive sales!

I was more offended by that than the balloons!

Just been to the matinee in Newcastle. What an absolute gem of a show. It felt fresh, a good story and a great weaving in of the songs. A much more emotional story than I was expecting really but it worked very well. Must particularly praise the adult female performers who were fabulous.
£17.50 for my ticket at the back of the stalls (standby rate in Newcastle). Will be very tempted to go again in London if any cheaper tickets are made available.

Watching the trailer I noticed one of the girls doesn't pop up as an older version later on, does she die or move away or something?

I'm just back from seeing the show in Edinburgh tonight. I absolutely hated this. I don't think i've ever enjoyed a show less. The young girl cast were fine but that was it. Would not recommend for anyone unless you love fat jokes, awful writing, bad acting and drunk middle aged women singing every song.

God is this still on tour?
Those poor actors must be ready to throttle eachother

There's another nine months, at least, still to go!

Did those lads know what they were getting themselves into I wonder? Best years of their lives spent holed up in digs singing the same songs 8 times a week. Terrible.

Well at least now we know you'd never make it as a performer BB - what you have said is literally the entire job description. You do it because (for some unexplainable reason) you absolutely love it to your very core, even at the worst of times. If you don't - then don't even think about doing it!

Opening night is sold out (probably as people hoped Take That would be appearing)
Gala night is also sold out (when Take That actually will be performing).
They're taking all the seats out the stalls for table seating. It's a later start (8.30pm) and there's a matinee the next day. The staff must be overjoyed.

Well I loved this tonight!! I booked on a whim a while back & thought it may be naff but I want to see how this jukebox musical plays out.
I wasn’t expecting the storyline to be so emotional...that Act 1 stinger got me & then Act 2 had some beautiful tender moments, I loved the concept of characters at 16 and 25 years later!!
Yes the plot is light and a little contrived but I liked the themes it explores.
Set is fun and those lads do the heavy lifting moving it all about with some clever staging (the fountain in Prague’). They are all very pretty too & I like how they weave in and out around the main characters.
I think the older cast are strongest!!
Am tempted to see this again at ‘The Haymarket’.

Filming begins next summer. It's all signed and sealed.

Started previews tonight!
For anyone wanting cheap tickets, lots of £15 stalls/dress circle seats appear to have been made available across a load of dates.

Thank you so much, Mark - didn't find huge availability but very happy to bag a £15 dress circle ticket for a seat priced at £77.50 on some other dates. (I'm sure no-one would pay that but...) I know nothing about Take That or their music (they were WELL after my time), but it sounds like an enjoyable show and provided it's not snowing and the trains are running, something for me to look forward to early in the new year.

I paid that when it was in Manchester. If I'd paid anymore i would have felt cheated
