Could be a 6 week Christmas filler? According to the website the show ends in Belfast on 24 Nov, and resumes on the road at The Lowry on 16 Jan. Makes perfect sense to do a 6 week stint in town whilst all the regional theatres aremdoing Panto. Better than having the set/cast/crew doing nothing.

Is it worth seeing? And how does one get the code for priority booking?

The Take That mailing list perhaps?
Baz says there will be a charity gala performance with Take That on December 5th and tickets are not on sale yet for that.

Is it worth seeing? And how does one get the code for priority booking? In my opinion yes. It will help if you like Take That's music of course but it's a play with music in my opinion and a pretty touching story. Not sure about priority booking code. Maybe check the theatre website on Friday?

I assume the set is designed to fit a venue the size of the Haymarket. Given it's in the process of being sold, it's interesting the current owners wanted a Christmas filler already, they must have their late summer/early Autumn show planned already pencilled in

Is it worth seeing? And how does one get the code for priority booking? It’s aimed very much at a particular demographic, and I don’t just mean TT fans I mean female TT fans of a certain generation. It’s quite heavy on the sisterhood theme. I’m not saying no-one else will enjoy it, I was singing along at the end with the rest of them but subtle it ain’t and I was very conscious that it wasn’t really “for me”. Of course that other juke box musical Bat Out Of Hell isnt very subtle either but it’s so much more joyful and inclusive, and of better quality than The Band.

Bah Humbug. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. It's Christmas "gifts" like this that make me wish I was Jewish.

^Given that Avengers: Infinity War went on sale today as well, they're probably telling fibs!

Pre-sale sale???
Anyway, Gary, Mark and Howard are on The One Show on Monday, presumably to announce to the wider public that The Band is coming to London's glittering West End.

Two of the ladies from the cast are on too and quite rightly so. They have barely got a mention in the Gary Barlow PR roadshow so far despite being onstage for most of the time.

Couldn't decide whether I wanted to see this or not, after debating it for the past month or so I've decided to book myself a ticket. I do like Take That's songs but I wasn't fully sold on this show, positive reviews have convinced me to give it a go. Booked for when the show hits Bristol. Doesn't appear to be selling all that well currently (compared to other venues at least), plenty of empty seats to choose from, only front stalls seem to have sold. Granted that is a weekday evening but there's still quite a few seats for Friday & Saturday's shows

If I'm gonna see it, it will be during its Christmas run. I don't really have a desire too, but I like seeing new musicals so sure. I am more intriuged what the Summer/Autumn filler will be!

Another huge advert for The Band on The One Show tonight. Have the bbc got some sort of investment in this or something?

Take That and cast members did a bit of PR performing on the roof of their London theatre at lunchtime, as you do.

There's already been at least two greatest hits albums. It's getting silly.

My mum’s just phoned and asked if I’ll go with her, as she has theatre tokens to use. I told her not to panic and that it won’t sell out today, so she’s popping round at the weekend for us to sort it out - but looking at the seating plan (and - ouch! - the prices) is making me worried!
Have they pulled a sneaky one and put ticket allocations all over the place? Because it looks way more sold out than I was expecting.

A feature film has now been announced of the band to start shooting next year. Take That have confirmed a film version of their new musical The Band is in the works. Gary Barlow confirmed on ITV's Lorraine that a movie based on their musical will start shooting in 2019.
"Yes, it's happening," he said. "The script is being written by Tim Firth and it will be shooting next year." Gary then quipped: "Think they're getting Brad Pitt to play me." Tim also wrote The Band musical, which opened in September 2017 and runs in London from December 1 - January 12 at the Theatre Royal.
The Band, which is set between two arena concerts 25 years apart, follows the story of five teenage girls. The boy band was cast on BBC reality TV series Let It Shine. It is hoped The Band film will mirror the success of Mamma Mia, which was a huge hit in cinemas in 2008. “Mamma Mia! took the essence of what the theatre show was about and put it on the big screen," Gary told The Sun. "And look at the success of La La Land and The Greatest Showman, musical movies are really popular now."

Just looked on the TRH site and there is loads of availability midweek, bit tighter weekend matinees. Hasn't changed since last week, so the tickets are going through the same channel, still.
Interestingly it put me at 3571 on Q-It, then one second later let me into the site. It put me in Q-It at 2000-odd last night and then let me through within 30 seconds - that's part of the reason why I was suspecting a bit of jiggery-pokery on how well it had sold! Apparently on the One Show they made it sound like it was selling out in one day. Ta, obviously a saturday matinee is when Mum would prefer to go, but we'll have a look at the weekend. I don't think she's *that* keen that she wants to pay over a hundred quid for a stalls seat - and she does like to be near the front.
