Can anyone hazard a guess to when Press Night is? There were very few seats on sale for Wednesday 11 December as of 10am this morning, so there's a fair chance they were being held back for Press Night.

Negotiations going on for three female leads.
Dad going to book tomorrow - hope the seats he wants are not sold out.

Goldilocks, Mummy Bear and... Baby? A potential Good Fairy-esque character?
Saw on twitter that As*ley R*berts allegedly lined up for Goldlilocks... the horror!

Clearly these parts need to be cast but I wouldn't have thought they needed names (and the high salaries that go with them). The box office will be healthy enough with the names already cast - albeit all male. The girls will get very little stage time.
Perhaps (like Joseph) they will cast a total newcomer from a stage school for Goldilocks?

Just booked 20 seats group rate at 42.50. No need to complain about prices
Just need some women in the cast!

Funny moment on the tube this week. Two girls laughing at the Palladium poster in the Standard.I guess they were perhaps marketing or design professionals. They were not impressed. ‘Where are the bears? Where’s Goldilocks? Is this a Greatest Showman thing? Why the paw prints?’. They then decided that it was subliminal advertising(?) or that a child had won a school competition to design the ad.

Tickets booked - not as good seats as last year (Rows A - F sold out in two days).

Booked Row S fairly central in the stalls (where we usually sit) I don't mind being further back at the Palladium as the stage is wide and Julian's costumes are easier on the eyes from further away! Although not cheap it is great that, like theatre monkey already said, there are a wider variety of prices than most shows these days.
As always now i'm sure this will be a Christmas highlight for my family and I.

What’s the big ‘effect’ this year normally made by The Twins FX?

Paul Zerdin confirming he's back. (No comment.) Also mentioning 'a big name exciting female star to be announced very soon.' So that's Amanda out of the running then...
PS. Anyone else loving Adil on GMB?

Oh I don't dislike him @theatremonkey, I just wish he'd write some new material. Even Julian's jokes take a couple of years to come round again. (Well, most of them.) Also, until he disappears it's the only show I go to where I have to sit upstairs due to Mr Tibidabo's terror of being picked on. Ooh. Come to think of it, I may have accidentally forgotten about that when I purchased this year's tickets....😈😈😈

You could always write to the theatre beforehand, Tibs, just to make sure. 😉
Maybe include a brief description...distinguished looking and well dressed, but enough about me.

“Why are we wearing white carnations in our buttonholes?”
“Just wanted us to look smart (twirls imaginary moustache). Do you not want us to? Are you trying to embarrass me?”

'a big name exciting female star to be announced very soon.' I have a feeling it could be more like a famous puppet or gimmick i.e. Basil Brush or Churchill the Dog. Either that or maybe they got their hands on the Pauline Quirke hologram when they heard the Scrooge arena tour was cancelled.

Emma Bunton is my guess for Goldilocks. Not off the back of any intel, she was just the most famous blonde person who would realistically do this I could think of. Not to mention she’s straight off the back of a stadium tour.

Ian McKellen revealed today in an interview at the Fringe he was offered Mother Goode at the Palladium but turned it down as he was too busy. But said it was a dream part he really wants to do! Maybe this is the option for 2020/21

Maybe this is the option for 2020/21 He's already done panto once before. Played the dame at the Old Vic a few years ago. I forget which panto but it was the first one I'd seen since I was a child. He was brilliant.
