So so glad I got to see this show and Adrienne Warren before she leaves. Wow, what a powerhouse performance! I love Tina and her music so this was such an enjoyable night of theatre. The book didn’t really grab me, but i was there for the music and that didn’t disappoint. Great idea to the show into a mini concert at the end, which got everyone up and dancing. My only gripe was a bunch of women seated near me who were singing along throughout the show, which was a bit distracting but they were having a good time at least!

Trouble is with that show there's always a "bunch of women singing" - it attracts 'that' type of punter, unfortunately.

Ashley Zhangazha is much too nice to play Ike Turner. He's a good actor, but the idea of him as a violent coke and crack addict is hard to process. I look forward to seeing what he makes of it; it is definitely outside his usual range, but maybe he will be a revelation.

Poor Harry doesn't even look like he knows where he is! 😂 but Meghan knows where the cameras are at all times, being a celeb did her well!

oor Harry doesn't even look like he knows where he is! 😂 but Meghan knows where the cameras are at all times, being a celeb did her well! Of course she does! You can see her eyes scanning for the cameras every time like a heat seeking missile locking on to its target. Her late mother-in-law would have been proud.

Saw this for the second (and probably final) time tonight - had to catch Adrienne's masterclass one more time, and this time I was lucky enough to be on the front row and be able to absorb every little nuance of her astonishing performance. Even when she wasn't the focus of the scene she was reacting to everything, there was laughter and there were tears. And when it comes to vocals she is simply sublime.
This show will miss her a lot, and Broadway is lucky to be getting her back. I still have everything crossed that justice will reign at the Oliviers and she will win, then follow it up at the Tonys.
Aside from Adrienne I still think this is a perfectly decent, if fairly average, evening out, but not something I will be rushing back to again given I can't get back before she leaves.

Just booked a £35 lucky dip stalls seat for the week before Adrienne leaves. I'm desperate to see her one last time, as I feel as good as this show is, it won't be anywhere near the standard it is with her.
Seems too good of a deal to pass up; seeing as it's guaranteed to be in the stalls!

Thanks, I am v tempted! 🤔 She gives such a powerhouse performance as Tina and more than deserves the Olivier as far as I’m concerned (even though I see it going to Rosalie)

When does Adrienne actually leave and what shows does she usually have off a week? Sorry for asking but I've not kept up with this thread for a while

Oh I didn’t realise she doesn’t do thurs matinees either. I understand that I guess. It’s an unbelievably demanding role.

The page says it's Best Available and may be Restricted View.

I rang up and the gentleman in the BO said they're guaranteed to be in the stalls; you just don't know where until nearer the time!

Cast recording released today - which feels a bit redundant to me.
From a purely audio perspective, why would you want an album that primarily features someone doing an interpretation of Tina Turner, when you could simply buy or stream her studio recordings?
Having said that, I like her voice (unfortunately I did not see her performance when I saw the show)
