Just looked at re-booking in December as my daughter adores this show.Bit shocked at the masses and masses of seats available at all prices so early in the run. This is my worry. I love the show but it’s not going to be an easy sell by any stretch. It's on sale for full price at TKTS only and it's not part of the current £15 flash sale on TodayTix either. I think they are shooting themselves in the foot by not being generous with discounts now - this show needs lots of positive word of mouth to spread and right now that means getting more people through the doors to see it in the first place. Since I loathe the 90's pop trash, I had been very much prepared to give this show a wide berth, until all the positive word of mouth here made me sway. As I happened to be in London on Friday, I picked up the CD at Fopp for £10 without a chance to listen to it on Spotify earlier and was quite convinced it would only gather dust anyway. But... quite surprisingly, I enjoyed it on first listen as the new orchestrations don't drown all the songs in the ever-samey annoying beats, but really let the melodies and vocals come forward. I'm now waiting for it to come up in the GILT offers as I'm still not ready to pay full price, but the forum here has done a lot to win me round and the CD has given me the last nudge to want to see it. So, anyway, I guess my point is - don't frighten sceptics and doubters off by charging full price right now, but put bums on seats with generous offers so they will spread the word.

Cast were at Evening Standard awards last night doing a song. I enjoyed it but my friend said "too loud, I wont be going"

Saw this this weekend for the matinee. Was great fun with well done songs! Plot super thin, but then I wasn't expecting much on that aspect

So excited to be finally ticking this off the list tonight! We managed to get £25 tickets when they were on offer a while back, and decided to go Royal Circle rather then towards the back of the stall, to avoid any overhang!
Can't wait to see what all the fuss is about!

Even when they’re great - which this one is - why, in my opinion, do jukebox musicals suck. Not because of the sensational songs, the fabulous talent on stage and certainly not because of the spectacle. & Juliet just feels diminished and small and old. I felt I was watching X factor from back in the day. It looks like it, dances like it and with so many snippets of tracks you know, paces and sounds like it. But all that is probably positive as this show is aimed at the Nick generation and that’s why it’s clever. Lots of social empathy and empowerment with a thick coating of escapist tosh. Loved it. If only as far as the tube home.

I'll break my review down into sections.
TimeOut Offer - They gave us Row T 24/25 in the stalls. We went and had a look and the overhang was really bad, so I went back to the box office and had a word. I said I thought the tickets were meant to be Band A seats, she said they were. I said how can you sell Band A seats that lose the whole top of the stage. There was no drama though, she upgraded us to Row F 13/14 without a fuss and was nice about it. I'd suggest doing the same if you get crappy seats as it isn't really on, especially when they sell unsold Premiums as day seats for 20 quid.
The Crowd - We had a drunken fake laugher behind us which was highly annoying and the old woman next to my friend had breath so bad I could smell it 2 seats down. Nothing however could've prepared any of us for the fart she dropped 15 minutes before the end of the show which had 3 rows of people gasping for air. My mate dry wretched it was so bad...maybe we should've kept the Row T tickets.
The Show - I won't go into the gory details of all the things I found wrong with it. It was ok I guess and did have quite a few great moments. I'd give it a 3/5. The staging, lighting and main cast were all excellent and did the best they could to sell the material. I found the overly smiley chorus excruciating however and my opinion of Grace still stands. So glad I caught the proper lead as she was fantastic. Act 1 was much 'stronger' than Act 2 which dragged like a mofo in usual song cramming jukebox musical style. I just though as a whole it was WAAAAAAAY too long and would've made a far more entertaining 1 Act 90 minuter.
It was fun though, I enjoyed it for what it was, but I don't need to ever see it again.
Is it a hit...maybe? It is VERY Panto like, so it may tide the great unwashed masses over between their annual visits to Dick Whittington. The crowd seemed to love it, it got an enthusiastic standing ovation and very nearly made an 80 year old woman sh*t herself in public, so who am I to judge x

So you think you're too good to sit in row T, despite not missing anything from the show and you think it's a show for 'the great unwashed masses'
OK.....
Maybe you should just stay home in the future.

Maybe you should just stay home in the future. I didn't think I was 'too good' to sit anywhere. I had paid for Band A tickets and had checked before I left home and knew there were much better Band A seats available than what I had been given. I didn't know (and still don't because I didn't sit there) if I was going to miss anything or not as I hadn't seen the show. If I'd have known the seats were in Row T, I wouldn't have purchased them. It was quite obvious the 'offer' people had been given lesser seats so they could sell the better seats at full price in the interim, even though they were by this evening being sold for half what I paid for my tickets. There was no drama or fuss. If we'd have HAD to sit in the seats we would've, but they were nice enough to upgrade us to better Band A seats which I thanked her profusely for. I thought I gave a pretty fair review of the show and noted the things I thought were great about it, but in the end it didn't all add up to anything brilliant for me. The unwashed masses line was clearly a joke...lighten up! Maybe you shouldn't visit discussion forums if you aren't capable of reading other people's opinions x

Just to say having a look on the seat plan, it tends to be only weekends that stalls Row T is Band A, otherwise they're band B seats (most of the time) so they were not giving you the timeoutoffer as it was stated.
I've got TimeOut seats tomorrow, hoping they don't try to pull this with me.

Listened to the cast recording, thought I'd know more of the songs, but didn't. Anyway, will be seeing the show in a few weeks, with a few more 'ok'-reviews being posted here after all the raves, this turns out to be the show I'm looking forward to most of all on the trip.

The upper 50% of the back and side walls are used for projections which you’ll be at risking of missing the more the overhand impedes your view. I think they’re very impactful (others may disagree) so would be a shame to miss them if it can be avoided.

Yes I agree, they would've been pretty much gone completely from that row as they were only the top half of the stage. There is no way that seats 19 rows from the stage/5 rows from the back wall under a massive overhang should be considered Band A seats. If I was forced to pick those seats from a seating plan I wouldn't have gone.

There are even times when Row T is split into Band A and B or Band B and C and our would've fallen into the B and C categories. Row T is even Band D for some shows this week. They are obviously using this 'dynamite pricing' BS so the Bands are actually all over the shop and seem to change on a daily basis. Just be nice to them at the BO and I'm sure your upgrade experience will go as smoothly as mine did. I'm sure most people will just accept where their seats are. I only posted re the exchange because I was the one who posted the T.O deal here in the first place and felt guilty if people took advantage of it and were now going to get screwed over with less than stellar seats.

Having sat in rows H and S, you miss absolutely nothing from the rear of the stalls. You still get to see all the projections, like where the action is taking place etc. When they sing 'one more try' you dont miss anything then either.

I went to the Opening night last week (thanks for the free program and Prosecco powers that be) and I sat right at the back of the Upper Circle. I’ve got a front row day seat for tonight and am pleased I will be able to see Grace and see how she compares. I get the impression some people don’t rate her, but I’m not sure why? Anyway, I have high hopes and am looking forward to seeing the show again. There’s so much to take in, I was a bit overwhelmed with it all the first time, and wasn’t sure what to make of it. I’m hoping a second viewing from near the front provides me with more clarity. I usually love or dislike a show, but &Juliet left me confused and not knowing what to think!
