The likelihood of Color Purple coming over I think is pretty small, I suspect it would have done so a long time ago after its initial run at the Menier.

I asked Baz on Twitter about the possibility of A Long Day's Journey Into Night transferring. I assume we're talking about the Bristol Old Vic production with Lesley Manville rather than a Broadway transfer of the Jonathan Kent production with Jessica Lange, Michael Shannon and Gabriel Byrne? Either way, he'd heard nothing about any transfer so perhaps not likely for the immediate future.

Would also love She Loves Me to come over from NYC, really want to see Jane Krakowski on the West End again although she is very busy so who knows.

But if it does film here he could possibly do that during the day then LDJIN at night. Obviously would be a heavy workload but if in Justice League his role is anything like it was in Batman vs Superman it's mainly just talking in Batman's ear and hanging around the Batcave. Just speculation on my part of course, but not unheard of for actors and certainly doable. |

It is filming at Leavesden but I think doing a long epic play like Long Day's Journey as well as a film during the day is probably very gruelling. They only do seven performances a week of that show because of its length. |

LDJIN was only in the West End a few years ago.

Just had a thought that Jullian Fellowes, Anthony Drewes and George Stiles' Wind in the Willows, which is almost guaranteed a theatre, will need some good out of town reviews.
Also Big that is going to play Plymouth and Dublin, but might not need a big theatre.

Dont know where all these rumours are coming from that Mary Poppins is going into Dury Lane, I mean the revival playing a larger theatre than the original, with a touring set, cannot see that happening. wouldn't be surprised if Wind in the Willows dis take one of the barns, as a very popular story, a favourite with children and has big writers. Also see that Finding Neverland taking one of these, especially if Alfie Boe is attached. The other thing with the West End they can have shows come out of nowhere like End of Longing or Nice Fish. |

Yep, saw The King and I last summer at the Lincoln Center, and if they wish to retain the same staging (with the boat in particular) only Drury Lane or the Palladium will do in terms of scale. But I'm not sure how well this would appeal to children - won't it mainly be for older adults who remember the original film? Perhaps I'm wrong but I'm not sure family audiences would flock to the King and I as much as Mary Poppins, Charlie, Wizard of Oz or Shrek. |

I was told that they already have a theatre selected for Wind in the Willows. After the mini tour it was going into the west end but couldn't get the theatre name out of them!
