I mean the narrator is Mrs Potiphar and Jacob too...

Having the Narrator as Jacob and is a cheap, money saving travesty. Old men deserve parts too!

I was in the choir of the uk tour in 2005&2006, during my first show a bit of a palm tree dropped off and landed on the step next to me, when I had my last performance a year and a half later they still hadn't fixed it and the palm tree was still missing the end of the leaf 😂😂😂

Oh gawd. Is EP joining the cast? I see EP is on The One Show tonight, so perhaps we'll have the official announcement.

OK, so in this funny world where none of us know what will happen and when, this is one that I think (and hope) will go on this Summer in some format, maybe with a form of social distancing.
We know about Jason and Jack, but who would people like to see as The Narrator?
Sheridan of course had been ruled out from last year's cancelled run as she was either heavily pregnant or had just had her baby. Not sure how busy she is this Summer, but I really wouldn't be surprised if she also returns now.
Personally for my taste, and I know this will be an eye roll for some people, I'd love to see Kerry Ellis do it. She could belt out the score, give us an epic Pharaoh Story at the top of Act 2 and even throw in the occasional growl. Jenna Lee James who did the Adelphi version I also love. Similar to Ellis she has an amazing strong and pitch point accurate MT voice but also with a rock edge.
So yup, I'd love a classic MT very strong vocalist. My hunch is that they may once again wish to bring out the comedy character so may go Sheridan or someone Sheridan esque though
Either way, looking fwd to this one. A great show to beat the lockdown blues. And dunno what's booked into the Palladium after, if anything, but hoping they'll extend it in to the Autumn :-)

It is what it needs. If only there was someone who could do the comedy and the belt, whilst still looking good in ill fitting leisure pants. That’s a true triple threat right there! If only Jane was 10teen years younger.

Funnily enough we were talking the other days about this as we’ve not heard anything either.
Personally, I’d just love to have Linzi Hately back again, but that might just be the nostalgia kicking in!

Someone I think would be amazing with the comedy angle is Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend). Lots of the songs in that show were more comedy-based but I still reckon she has the chops to rival Sheridan. It probably wouldn’t happen as she’s not that big a name over here but if the rumoured Broadway transfer of this production ever happened she’d be the perfect choice.

There was a rumour I heard early last year that they had cast Jodie Prenger to be the Narrator. Personally, I reckon she'd be a great fit with the narrator as she is in this production. She could certainly do the comedy and working with the children like Sheridan did, and I'd argue she'd sing it better too.

Their leading man is an unknown with a cracking voice and plenty of presence that was noticed during his training. Just find a narrator through the same route.

I hated Sheridan and hate everything she is in on stage. Awful.
Jodie on the other hand - would be GREAT! Super talent

Yup - Jodie can soar vocally AND do the comedy. That's a good call.
