And as for people suggesting Schofe as Pharaoh. My God. At least JD vaguely was a singer in the past.... I'm not sure what Schofe's voice is like now, but I thought he sang the role of Joseph in the early 90's far better than Jason did. 😊 I think I was too transfixed by Linzi Hateley/Lisa Peace to rate either. Though neither JD/PS the world’s strongest vocalists....

Ended up enjoying this much more than I thought I would so would quite like to book for the 2020 run before dynamic pricing hikes everything up too much, but I'm debating whether to go twice - a cheap preview seat and something mid-range later in the run - or just go once but splash out for an expensive seat... doesn't look like there are any bargains to be had except maybe £35 ends of front row during previews.

The very back of the stalls is £35 and £25 during previews, seems a pretty good deal to me unless there’s some hidden issue with awful legroom back there or something?

^ From memory...Royal Circle creates a low ceiling thus reducing some of upper part of stage...legroom restrictive and a sense of being distant...wouldn’t pay £35 personally...depends obvs how far back you are.Theatre Monkey will give you much more detail,I feel,on his excellent site.

Suppose being 6’4,legroom is always an issue for me...this show will sell well again so it might be a case of Hobson’s for some who don’t fancy paying telephone directory numbers...just checked SeatPlan and it is a mixed bag of reviews at the back of the stalls.

Enjoyed it so much this time that I have just bitten the bullet and booked for next year. 1st preview in the dress circle. Always sat in the stalls before at the Palladium so thought it would be nice to see it from a different angle. Row F which according to theatremonkey looks pretty good, plus got my aisle seat which is a must for me these days and as its presale no booking fee so its a "win, win"

I also have long legs so that helps too! Plus quick exit for the loos!😃

I see the sun have run a story today saying Sheridan has been sacked from returning the show due to her behaviour.
She starts on the Stages cruise next week and I doubt the timing of the story is a coincidence.
Cannot believe why anyone still buys this sad excuse of a paper.

Why - if it's untrue then she would win a defamation case.

As are much of the press sadly.... Also, how on earth can you be "axed" for something you've not even signed up for?! #GutterPress

Much as I enjoyed Jac Yarrow's performance in Joseph I hope he does not return in 2020. It's an ideal role to be re-cast with a newcomer each year.
As for Sheridan Smith, I haven't seen The Sun today but I don't see how anyone can be "sacked" from returning to any job. You can be sacked while in a job. You can be informed that a contract won't be renewed or extended. Sheridan may have been advised that she won't be needed next year but how can anyone be sacked from a fixed term contract they've already completed ?

Yeah I think maybe there was. Certainly while I was hoping for someone new, I had assumed Sheridan would return. No doubt she was a big hit with the Joseph audience and I am sure played a massive part in the phenomenal sales. Anyway, she's posted a very dignified response on Twitter. And moving on - let the 2020 casting speculation commence! Personally I am desperate for Christina Bennington to cement herself with a post Bat starring role.

The only thing that would make me watch it again would be to put the music front and centre. Someone with the vocal skill of Christina would switch it right up and make it musically exciting instead of just flashy...but I’d much rather she did Pearl in Starlight as planned.
And Sheridans tweet makes it sound like she didn’t feel valued by anyone other than the kids?

Only if she brings the boyfriend along... Haha, so my friend I was gonna mention Andrew coming along as Joseph but didn't know if you'd think the role was too small for him! (Given it's basically two songs!)
