Matt Slack is an iconic comedian for Panto fans at the Hippo…he mixes physical comedy with terrific ad-libbing and cheeky innuendo…he often plays the clown character who fails to win the girl but wins over the audience with warmth and pathos…the locals love him and he sells mountains of tickets.
It is amazing that local Panto’s have ‘stars’ who are often unheard of outside their locale…the likes of Tam Ryan,Iain Lauchlan,Sam Rabone and Ian Adams are hardly household names but in Coventry,Wolverhampton and Lichfield they are Panto legends.
To get back to the thread,Slacks name recognition in Brum may well tempt punters to shell out for a Joseph ticket.He has definitely got the stage presence to carry off the role with aplomb.
