Sad news that richard swerrun had died. He was Joseph on tour and the West End for so many years. So sad to hear this - I remember seeing him many times as Joseph, so full of life. Are there any online tributes?

Sad news about Richard, he must not have been any great age probably only in his 50's. So sad to hear this - I remember seeing him many times as Joseph, so full of life. Are there any online tributes?

Dear Lord .. the prices for this!!!! £150/£125 for centre front stalls and circle and then £85 to sit at the back! This premium pricing is getting completely out of control! Of course plenty of availability at the moment but that will completely change when casting is announced!!!

I don’t know if I would call it a serious rumour, but just as Joseph was announced, it was musicals week on Strictly, and Joe danced a number from Joseph. What made it a bit odd was that Jason Donovan rocked up at rehearsals (only celeb to do so?) and it felt like maybe we were being told something. All circumstantial...

A friend of mine who works on theatre who sometimes gets things right (but often doesn't) told me last night Olly Murs may have been approached. Take that with a big pinch of salt - but I could see them going with someone like him.

Yeah I mentioned earlier in this thread I think that the ticket prices for his supposedly family show are out of control. Top price non premium is £85 (a lot in itself and second only to Hamilton I think) - but this doesn't get you anywhere near central stalls owing to the obscene expansion of the premium seats. Sad thing is it's just a supply based business model - if it sells at those prices that is what they'll do. Talk about favouring the rich though!

Those are stupid prices! AND last time I was at the Palladium (for Camelot in concert) I was in agony in the second row of the stalls because there was no leg room. My knees were pressed right up against the seat in front (and I'm 5' 7" so not that tall!) I'm not paying £150 for that experience (though I quite like Joseph as a show)

Sad news that richard swerrun had died. He was Joseph on tour and the West End for so many years. Along with being my third Joseph, Richard Swerrun was actually my first narrator! It was in 1995, and not a Kenwright production. A few years later, having then seen him as Joseph many times, I was looking back through my old programmes and was amazed that I'd seen him as the narrator.

Hmmm. Harry Styles just said he wants to focus on his acting career. He fits the description of what ALW always says he wants. A stint here and the Fiyero in the Wicked movie??? And no its not like his regular music career.

Just get 10 people together and the prices drop to 45 pounds each. That’s what I did. Easy.

I was in agony in the second row of the stalls because there was no leg room. My knees were pressed right up against the seat in front (and I'm 5' 7" so not that tall!) Really? I'm the same height and was in majestic comfort for "The King And I" in B11? Yes, it's really put me off the Palladium! I don't remember the seat numbers, but it was near the end of the second row (there was an aisle in the middle) I THINK (just looked at the seating plan) it might have been B22, but couldn't swear to it!)

Would Charlie Stemp have time before Mary Poppins?

Rob Houchen is not a big enough name. Charlie Stemp can dance his way to Egypt but sing really? I know he can do everything but CED I think is beyond him.
Actually I am quite surprised ALW has not announced Joe McE. he was his favorite for a while in every gala. Not mine his. Though I do not think he is a big enough name either. Nor my favorite.

Hi all I don’t post often but read all the time. I think there is a good chance it will go to a lesser known boy bander, but also discovered on X-Factor. Jaymi Hensley from Union J would fit that brief very well and he has been seen!
Will try and post more generally in the forum more often. Have a good day.
