First time ever trying to book something at the Donmar - I've always been told that it's impossible to get anything at the Donmar unless you're a paid member, but I got through the queue in 5 mins and picked up a great seat for a Saturday night early in the run with no problem at all. Can't wait!

Position 200(ish) in Internet Explorer, 300 in Chrome, and 800 in Edge, so it was nice to be able to dispense with my least favourite browser early in the process. Took my usual £10 circle seat with very little fanfare, so that's nice. Now I just need to get Maggie Smith in the bag and then I'll be able to relax for a while...

Can't wait! Just because it's small doesn't mean it's impossible. As with the vast majority of theatres, it's perfectly possible to get in as long as you have a little flexibility and you're on the website as soon as public booking opens.

I've never been to the Donmar- any tips on sightlines or good seats before I book?! Big thank you in advance!

I've always just written off even trying based on what others have told me - I am excited about my first visit now 😀 For my future reference, I see you booked a £10 circle seat - how is the view from those?

The outer circle seats are usually not too bad, you can miss action that's very close underneath you, but for the price I generally think it's worth it. I myself have bagged a couple for this, so I'll eat my hat if it turns out to be a disaster.
I managed to get in at number 33, I think the queue at its worst was a little over 2000 people. Based on the number of tickets I could see were available (generally 30-40 seats per show), it definitely is a bit tricky to get stuff at Donmar.

Sightlines are generally good - at the side of the circle you will miss the edge of the stage but normally it is staged so that's not a problem. View from the stalls should generally be clear anywhere. Seats facing the front of the stage are generally the best view. The prices are a good reflection of the quality of the view.

Not too bad; I like to have C35 (or C12 if I must but I prefer having a wall behind me) so that I can lean forward (or even stand up) as much as I need without having to worry about blocking anyone. You won't see anything much of what's immediately beneath you, but most Donmar directors seem very aware of the sightlines and will put the vast majority of the action in a reasonably central spot. I think the view might actually be slightly better if you go further down the sides, because you still have to lean but it's more in front of you than slightly to the side, but honestly, if leaning isn't a problem for you (and I appreciate that it may well be, especially for a longer show) and you're okay with not having an absolute world of legroom, then I've always found the £10 seats to be genuine bargains rather than "you get what you pay for" nasty cheapies.

Ack, I overslept this morning and only just got in the queue - 2000-odd in line. Might miss out on this one.

I’m now 651 and 831 in the queue so hopefully I’ll be able to get something for one of the dates I have free. It’s a good job I happen to have a day off as I wouldn’t have been able get tickets otherwise.

Well, that was easy, ticket for a tenner on a Saturday I COULD possibly make. Still quite some availability, so don't fret if you're in the high numbers!

£10 tickets sorted! It is selling well but there is still reasonable availability, the dates I looked at had few tickets in the stalls but quite a bit in the circle at all price levels.

Just managed to get a great stall seat - had to book for a Monday though which wasn’t what I was aiming for- but at least the view will be good!

Got a circle seat but had to go for 20th April when I would have preferred the 19th. The 19th wasn’t available at all, is that press night?

That was easy. I was in and out quicker than Warren Beatty before he met Annette Bening.

Managed to get some front facing circle seats in the star of May- I was sodding about for 15 minutes trying to decide what day I should go but glad I managed to get some!
