I don't think I've ever heard anyone describe Priscilla Lopez as lacking oomph. Shes a legend and preserved on the original A Chorus Line cast album in addition to the In the Heights OBC.
Having seen both original casts I would agree that the parents had a more compelling arc in London

I mean have a read back at what you said re broadway "soundtrack" apologies if I've misread a badly constructed sentence.

I mean have a read back at what you said re broadway "soundtrack" apologies if I've misread a badly constructed sentence. Nothing about it is badly constructed. I only mentioned the song. You decided to infer a dig at the actress (for no apparent reason). Now you’re getting all passive aggressive. Seems you’re looking for conflict for the sake of it, when there is no need.

That’s a damn good trailer even though it’s extremely short, this is one I’ll be seeing for sure

Well I’m excited!
You know when an adaptation of material you love looks exactly as you imagined it...?

I wasn't expecting huge dance numbers like that. It feels a bit like La La Land.
I hope it does well.

Looks good, I do wonder how it’ll do as it’s not as well known internationally compared to say Mamma Mia! or Cats

Thankfully they have included no creepy dancing pussy cats and it looks great. I can't wait to see it

I never saw the show but this looks really good. Shame. It was great at Southwark and Kings Cross. I'm sure a new production will soon appear

Looks amazing! Can’t wait to see it. The new arrangements for the title song sound great. How great that Olga Merediz plays abuela! I was lucky so see her on broadway and her performance was something very special. I’m sure it will translate in the same way on screen. Hoping you’re right someone in a tree, would love to see it again in London!

I saw this at both Southwalk and Kings Cross and I agree this looks AMAZING! So refreshing and upbeat!
Two questions that I hope somebody can answer:
Whilst I am aware of his involvement in the show, does anyone know if Lin-Manuel Miranda actually appears on the film?
and
When is this released next year in the UK?

never saw the show but this looks really good. You really missed something BurlyBeaR. Sacrilegious to say, but I prefer this show to "Hamilton" by a mile - it has real heart and humility. Can't wait for the film. Me too monkey. I saw Hamilton once and loved it but honestly felt and that once was enough but just knew I had to see In The Heights a second time. Very excited for the film.

Saw it at Southwark Playhouse knowing very little and was blown away by it. Music is brilliant.

Hadn't really paid much attention to this until now, but from that trailer this looks fantastic.

Agree with both, I must prefer it to Hamilton. It might not be the most elaborated book in the history of musicals but what a show! And the Southwark production was just perfect, such a dedicated cast, so full of energy, and don’t even let me start talking about Victoria Hamilton-Barrit, what a Star!

I love this musical! The Southwark/KC production was superb. I’ve been worrying that the film wouldn’t be “right” but this looks perfect. Can’t wait.
