I never buy merch! Honestly, I can't even remember the last time I brought merch. 😂 I know alot on here always ask about prices and stuff tho. There will definitely be several forum members overjoyed there is a magnet!

My question is “How does the theatre smell?”

My question is “How does the theatre smell?” "My theatre has no nose." "How does it smell?" "Terrible."

Do they have pie jars on sale for the dress rehearsal? I'd love to know how much cash I need to take (so cost per jar and number of flavours on sale, please). http://instagram.com/p/Btl6gB2FRXq

Eeeek the stage look high in that pic!
A few pics didn't make it look that bad; nonetheless, I'd rather front row than the back of the stalls.

Time to ask the serious question, does the theatre smell like a baking apple pie?

A high stage is good, that means the cast shouldn't be too distracted by the absolute spectacle I make of myself trying to eat three pie jars at once while sobbing my eyes out.

Time to ask the serious question, does the theatre smell like a baking apple pie? It does. The guy who posted the merch prices on Twitter mentioned how good it smells in a different tweet.
ETA: didn't say apple pie, but it definitely smells like pie.

Maybe the high stage is to deter people putting cupcakes onto the stage at the end?

Maybe the high stage is to deter people putting cupcakes onto the stage at the end? If they slid cupcakes on stage and not pies I'd be disappointed.

Really disorganised here. They didn’t allocate the seats, and the auditorium was supposed to open at 7 but it didn’t until just now. Spent the last 40 mins squashed into the foyer with no room to move, or indeed put my stick at one point! We are finally in now though, row g of the circle and the view seems really good (last time I was here was for Chicago!). We got given a badge each, and there are people dressed in waitress outfits selling mini pies! Great atmosphere, although we seem to be sat next to some people eating a mini picninc in their seats (which is currently a prawn sandwich and crisps!) FOR. FREE!!!! I know, I know it was free. Just a bad day for me in terms of mobility today, and standing in a very crowded space for too long earlier didn’t help at all, hence me being grumpier than normal. Anyway, interval here and were really enjoying it. I’d not actually heard any of the music before but had seen the film a couple of times and loved it. This doesn’t feel like a dress rehearsal at all, looking quite polished already b

You know what, I’m getting a little irritated now. Probably unreasonably, but I booked the first preview as soon as it went on sale for the excitement and the experience of it being their first time in front of an audience. And now it’s not. Everything on social media suggests that tonight is being treated like a “normal” first preview would be with Sara Bareilles taking to the stage etc. Even if they do all that again tomorrow, it doesn’t change the fact that we’re not the first audience to see this cast in action, and it isn’t the first full audience for them. The “specialness” is gone. If I’d known I wasn’t booking for that, I’d have booked for a day that was more convenient for me.

Today's performance is a dress rehearsal.
I'm sure tomorrow will be as exciting and you will enjoy it, so don't worry!

X2 I fully intend to have a face full of snot and pie and don’t care who knows it. More so if I know I’m breathing the same air as Sara.

First previews are never the first time actors perform the show in front of an audience - there is ALWAYS a dress run for producers/insiders/friends etc. However, you will be the first paying audience, and that's quite special for the performers too; after all, you make up the first 'real' audience of the show's run. So the excitement will be there.
