I couldn't imagine Nicols Roberts in Musical Theatre personally she seems to have kept a low profile since her Girls Aloud days and she always seemed more introverted than the other girls maybe because she was so young when the band started and she was the butt of a few jokes about her features from the likes of Chris Moyes etc.

Did anyone else get an e mail from Waitress asking you to complete a survey about the show? It said if you complete it you get entered in a draw for vouchers but at the end of the survey it didn't ask for an e mail address. So how do they know who you are?

If they don't have a space for email addresses then it could be that every recipient gets a unique link.

I started it but got put off. For a start they asked for an indication of which shows you'd seen in the last twelve months from a list including several that haven't opened yet. The rest of it was pretty much How do we need to target our advertising to sell more tickets..maybe I'll go back to it later!

Her solo album was really high quality pop and she is quite in demand ‘behind the scenes’ apparently.

My friend went to see this on Broadway last week despite me telling her it was opening here so she should see something else... she saw it and regrets it, said it’s a one-time-viewing show for her and it didn’t really appeal! She described it as vanilla with nothing in the story to really draw you in. We share a love of the same type of shows so I’m definitely waiting for casting to be announced before I book... I saw it on Broadway and thought the same. It’s rather a dull musical and won’t last long on the West End. Maybe a year at max. It’s sweet and cherry pie but has no substance at all - just a show about everyone having affairs. The critics will kill it here. The casting needs to HURRY UP and be released and I hope they don’t go for a celeb.

I also didn't take to it all on Broadway, although it obviously has its fan base there.
I can't see it transferring well, although it would be nice to be proved wrong. I will see it again, just to make sure I didn't miss anything first time around.

Did we all get the same survey? They seemed very certain that I haven't booked yet. (Also, which Macbeth do they mean? There's an awful lot of them about this year for them to not specify which particular one...)

OH. Guys, we should have all got together to game this survey. If literally everyone says "I've not booked this show because I don't know who the cast is, and I like to know who's cast in a show before I book", then surely that would be impetus for them to sort and announce the cast sooner rather than later. We have rather missed a trick here, I fear.

Louise Dearman has just tweeted something about starting a new project soon which really intrigues me.

She did a smashing version of 'She Used To Be Me' at the 'Nothing Like A Dame' show at Cadogan Hall recently.
Jane is probably too busy cruising I guess.

I guess the fact that they're announcing just Jenna rather than the whole cast suggests that it could be some star/stunt casting?

I have my money on Sara Bareilles for an opening stint, then a former green girl perhaps once the show has settled in.

Did Bareilles have an alternate on Broadway or did she do 8 a week? I’m not that bothered about seeing her so it would be nice to see an alternate on the Saturday matinee. (If it is indeed her)

(If it is indeed her) She did all eight shows on Broadway. I don't think Jenna is going to a stunt casting at first. I bet they've got a West End name.

MrBarnaby told us months ago it’s Katharine McPhee - doesn’t that still stand? He’s rarely wrong.....

I believe Barnaby...not that I love who he said it is...but he is rarely if ever wrong.

I could cope with McPhee or Dearman, I’d really just rather have Siobhan Dillon...did I mention that before? 😂

Siobhan Dillon or Lou would be my ideals.
