I prayyyyyyy that Gavin Creel will be in this as he's my fave musical theatre performer bar none and Waitress is one of my fave shows of recent years. That being said from what I gather on social media he and Sara are good friends and so his presence at the launch may not have meant anything.

I would love to see Keala Settle reprise her role - she has been in the UK for the last week, according to her Twitter, and recently appeared on Lorraine. I hope this is not just a coincidence.

Where is the cast announcement then? They sneaked/snook it out on ceefax...it’s the lass that plays Charity Dingle off of Emmerdale, with Natalie Cassidy doing the matinees. Bums on seats kids, bums on seats ££££$$$$. 😂 |

From what I hear, the initial casting was for Samantha Barks until Pretty Woman became the huge hit that it has been. So that would of postponed things a little bit. If it is Katherine, this whole vocal issue has defiantly thrown a spanner in the works.

If callbacks were happening last Wednesday, finals might not be for another week or so - then it’ll take a few days for agents to go back and forward with the casting directors before confirming, plus they’ll need to get some sort of press release in order.. so it’s not really taking any longer than it normally takes to cast a major West End transfer of a big Broadway show! |

We weren't told it would be announced this week at all, other than someone on the board saying 'cast announcement tomorrow'. Someone with bad inside knowledge or someone on the wind up. |

What is going on with this casting?! It starts a week later than come from away yet they announced a month ago. Really hope Olly Thompsett gets the doctor. Maybe Lauren Samuels/ Sophie Isaacs for Dawn as Sophie Linder Lee won't be available and Louise Dearman or Rebecca Trehearn for Jenna. Also wondering if it will be Old Joe or Old Josie as Broadway has recently announced.
