I kinda agree, the musical is a much more condensed version of the book and from what I remember (having read the book about 10 years ago!) there’s a lot in the book that happens after the musical ends.

I love reading but absolutely could not get into the book! But with the Wicked art work on the cover it at least looks good on my shelf!

Is Nikki back on regularly now? She was excellent tonight. My favourite kind of Elphaba, strong portrayal and a wonderfully clear voice with excellent belt sung very much to score. |

Is Nikki back on regularly now? Rebecca was on last night but, unlike previous appearances, it was not announced on twitter it was happening, by West End Covers or elsewhere. |

That was the same for Rebecca Botherill’s show on Friday, I didn’t see that posted anywhere apart from pictures poster after by Maggie Lynne. |

Heard this from a friend of a friend of a friend today, so gather up as much salt as you can as I say this - there's a rumour that Idina and Kristin are being lined up to do a London stint in Spring 2021. This is based on nothing concrete so may be bogus, but you know how much we love a bit of speculation on here 😀 my initial reaction if it does come to pass was that Kristin would probably still be awesome but I'm not sure Idina's voice would hold up to it these days. Still. Let the rumour mill run riot!

Still. Let the rumour mill run riot! I can’t see it happening personally but I do live a bit of speculation. To be honest, I don’t think idina’s voice was up for it back in the day either. No I never saw her live but I’ve always found her to be vastly over rated. |

I think if they were to do it, it would be over the 15th anniversary here.
I had thought Alice would return for the 15th but I guess Chenzel... while it sounds bizzare now... stranger things have happened.

Although they were by most accounts brilliant, they were barely young enough 16 years ago, let alone now or in 18 months' time! |

Still. Let the rumour mill run riot! I don't wanna doubt your source but for this to happen they will have to install new vocal chords to Idina and I don't think science has advanced that much. There is no way she will be able to sing the whole score again even in a lower key. |

I day sat yesterday and arrived at 9:50! Still got a ticket as well for the eve show. It was A35 and he view was brill, slightly restricted but nothing awful, it was great to have a Loud orchestra being so close to the speaker😂 I was surprised to see Nikki on, her vocals are good but on the acting level I don’t think I like her elphaba I much prefer Laura’s

I've seen in 10 times in its 13 years, and I can't see me going back until the cast excite me. Lucie Jones, Lauren Samuels or Samantha Barks would get me back there, I'm struggling to think of any other current names that would do it. |

For me, Elena Skye as Elphaba is what would get me back into Wicked. Preferably opposite Katie Hall as Glinda.

Lucie I think is very likely, as Waitress closes July 4th, and Wicked cast change is July 18th, which would allow for her to rehearse Wicked in the last few weeks of Waitress, and in the gap between Wicked starting.
Don’t think Elena will do it this year as she’s currently in We Will Rock You which also ends July 18th, and I can’t see her touring and rehearsing for the next show at the same time.
