I'd love to hear her belt Defying Gravity.

Yes I can definitely imagine her playing Glinda a little more than Elphaba but she has a lovely clear belt so I'd still like to hear Defying Gravity.

Her performance as Grizabella in cats is the best I have seen, I have seen many people perform memory but she by far was the best, when she has to belt, she can!! I think she would make a great Eplhaba, even though I always saw her as a Glinda!

Does anyone know what accent Suzie Mathers will be playing Glinda with? Not sure if it's been spoken about or anything! I know it's been a big thing with our international Elphies!

I assume it'll be British, as in the Australasian productions she was always forced to use an American accent, which isn't natural to her, so it wouldn't be crazy for her to speak with another non-native accent. That and she's been in the UK for quite a while so she should be accustomed to the dialect. Then again American Glinda could actually work really well. It makes far more sense than American Elphaba as Glinda has no younger sisters that could really do with not sounding like they're from a different country to her

If it's Australian, she better put roller skates on.

Just booked tickets for next Wednesday to go after work with a friend and noticed they've updated the website advising that 10th anniversary tickets are not collection from box office and will be posted out two weeks before.

Yes, the invited guests could be picking up their tickets and they won't want us rabble getting in their way.

If the stalls aren't full with famous people I'll be very mad! Grrrr!
Can you also do an u/s dance for next week please, I'd really love Carina & Natalie to be on!

Carina Gillespie is scheduled to be on as Glinda for the latter half of this week, but due to her indisposition Helen Woolf was on last night and tonight (31st June, 1st July 2016)
Natalie McQueen is on as Elphaba tonight (1st July, 2016). Natalie Andreou is supposedly returning as standby on Monday, whether or not she returns, or if she'll ever go on as Elphaba again is yet to be seen.

Interesting that they got a standby Glinda in when they don't have one on the tour. In an emergency they'd pull an u/s off quickly and replace that ensemble track with a swing...
Although I guess this week they only have Lauren James Ray left to play Glinda so they're reduced in numbers and also in the ensemble with Natalie McQ and Helen W both out in lead roles!

Seems like Emma and Savannah are both back tonight!
Kerry Enright is on as Morrible all week so really looking forward to seeing her take when I go on Wednesday! Kerry is one of my favourites in the ensemble so looking to see if she fills me with terror!
(Btw so far no one comes close to Sue Kelvin for me!)

It's odd - because of their boring uninspired casting decisions, I've (almost) completely lost interest in Wicked.

Ah no! Does the new cast excite you for September?
Three new Elphies! (Four for me as I've never seen The Tucker!)

The only Elphie I'm looking forward to is Alice Fearn. I'd also love to see Jodie Steele but pretty much doubt that I ever get to see her.
At the moment, I'm not even sure whether or not to see Rachel in London at all. Yes, she was my first Elphaba and therefore holds a special place in my heart, but when I saw her on Broadway this March, I was really underwhelmed and didn't find her performance special at all. And I fear it will be the same in London.
I'm really hoping they'll eventually put vacation dates on the Wicked London website (not sure if Rachel actually has any vacation during her stint) so that I can specifically book to see Alice. If not, I'll simply be waiting until February next year.
That said, I'll be seeing the tour in Salford three times over the first weekend in August - and Jenny on Broadway in December.

Rachel is my favourite Elphaba and I have booked to see her, but her last two shows were so incredible I am not sure they can be topped.

Is Rachel Tucker worth seeing? I saw the show on Broadway a couple of years ago but last saw it in London with Alexia Khadime in 2009. Very poor performance on the whole, hence why I've stayed away for seven years. I keep hearing people raving about Rachel though, so just wondering if it's worth dusting off the Wicked socks and making a return trip.

She is just Elphaba through and through. I've never seen someone commit to the role like she does and she's the reason why she brought me back to wicked so many times. No disrespect to any of the other girls who have played the role as they are all fabulous as well. But Rachel for me is number 1. So yeah I would say she is deffo worth a return trip haha.

You don't see her acting, she just IS Elphaba. She makes it look like childs play. Such detailing in her portrayal. And dont get me started on her voice. She does things to that score Stephen Schwartz never could have dreamed could be done. So yeah, you must go and see her.
