You are very welcome. Enjoy the documentary and- more importantly- enjoy the show. You never know, your dad might see himself up there on the stage and decide to see things a different way in future. We can’t always make people happy, especially the ones closest to us sometimes, but you sound a lovely chap, Cedriko , and if you can’t make your dad a happy man, I bet you will make some man very happy one day (if you haven’t done so already...) Thank you for your kind words caiphas (Jesus Christ Superstar reference huh?)! Try to do my best everyday  I will give you all a review of both shows (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and Everybody is talking about Jamie) when I already had seen the both of them. Really excited for this trip. I allways had loved your country because of your culture, open minded way of thinking (at last when we talk about pepole with disabilities, with all that acces in buldings, discounts in thater, etc.; we don´t have that here, I mean, they exist but not as they would be); in the othr hand, meet, (at least online), kind, helpfull and respectfull pepole like all of you makes me really happy and wanting to keep going in life everyday, honest. Well, I just paid my tickets guys. Thanks to all for your help!!!!. So, as many mentioned in the last posts, this show have a lot of cultural references and I want to be prepare in some way (know that in three weeks I´ll not be an expert by anymeans but "a little" is better than nothing). Don´t you know a movie or a documentary or somethiNg that could give me a general knowledge about the culture in British high schools, way of thinking or act, way of live, etc. to understand some references or, in the other hand, listen and kind to get use to the accent that the actors have???. This is a children’s tv documentary set in my old school in Sheffield. The kids featured are younger than you’ll encounter in Jamie but you’ll see the same ethnic mix of kids as you see in the show and they’re speaking with the same Sheffield accents. Series 3 is the one set in Sheffield, this is the first episode. |

Saw this last night with a lottery ticket win. Front row, centre. Great leg room, although the stage is high, so you have to strain and don't get a full view. You also get occasional spittle from Luke Bayer.
The seat next to me was empty, so don't know if it was an unsold lottery ticket or someone didn't make. The row behind were clearly fans and a little chatty during the show (one was talking about his friendship with Jamie Campbell) and one tall guy moved into the empty seat at the interval. The house was mostly full.
Last night was cover and switched roles central.
As I mentioned Luke Bayer was on as Jamie (unannounced). It looks like he's been on more often than not over the past month. I saw his debut performance which was good. Last night he was even better and really nailed the songs. He did manage to perform for a while with his fly open, but I guess that's a risk of all these quick changes. Think I slightly prefer his portrayal to John McCrea, although both are very good.
Shobna Gulati recently took over as Ray. First time seeing her. I liked the way she played the role. Different to Mina Anwar and a bit lighter.
Kirstie Skivington was on as Miss Hedge. I saw her cover the role before and liked her performance. I do think this is probably the weakest written role in the show, as a real teacher just wouldn't cover so many areas or be able to act like she has. But I realise there are limitations on the size of the cast.
Cherelle Jay was on as Pritti. Sang her big song well.
Daniel Davids was on as Dean Paxton (2nd cover). His first time playing the role. Did a good job and played the bully suitably well.
Jordan Cunningham doubled up as Young Loco, as well as his usual role of Sayid.
Spencer Stafford was on as Tray Sophisticay.
I notice according to the cast list, there was no Levi role, but there was an additional role of Taylor, played by Cherelle Jay. So, I guess this was a gender switch. Looked to be a full ensemble on stage.
Anyway, excellent as always and I definitely recommend catching this while Luke Bayer is on as Jamie. He's officially on all of next week, but I suspect he's also likely to be on the rest of this week too.

I know you can catch cheaper tickets i should look up at website week before date i ca go ? i saw seat plan and Apollo is not :best: witn cheap+good even a rvs (if i am not wrong)
Lottery well. after hamilton one and about 10 time lose Forty F in Potter just don't believe in luck
So you think i should buy full price ticket and have a good place or wait. sadly i can go ony on weekend
I want see this since december but always something prevented it. ( yes i look at you Harry Potter Play)

Caught this a few weeks back. I had a musical theatre binge of 6 shows and this was one of my favorites.
The whole cast is excellent, the score is fun and catchy and it really does have a heart. I’m not ashamed to say that as a 32 year old gay man, I found it quite moving. It’s just so important to have that kind of representation onstage and I am sure the show will be very impactful for lots of young people. Also great to see so much diversity in the cast; it shouldn’t have to be said but it’s the first time I’ve seen girls in headscarves singing and dancing in a West End show. It shouldn’t be remarkable but it is.
John McCrea is excellent as Jamie, as is Josie Walker as his mum, Margaret. She has a really stellar voice. I really warmed to Shobna Gulati as Ray. Lucie Shorthouse was incredible as Pritti; looking forward to seeing what she does next.
There’s some great merchandise on offer too- the programme is great value/ high quality.
Overall, I can’t recommend highly enough.

About half the time, you'll be offered reduced prize tickets if you lose. But the odds might not be as good on a Saturday. Also, if it's your first time, the front row isn't the best place as it's a restricted view due to the high stage. I'd suggest watching the online prices, as they do change. Alternatively, get to the box office for opening time and ask for a day seat. |

Dr,Tom Prices as far i saw drop around 48 h before and most of time in dress c (RVS one the most) but I don;t knoq it's regularly thing I know that the lottery seat is not the best for first time but have a good price |

I travelled 130 miles on a Saturday saw tkts had offers but asked at box office around 4.30 pm ... and the lovely staff offered me some great seats for £25. They will try and get some if they can ..... I even went NYE last min and got 2 returns discounted

Looking on the day that I can go beside weekend.. well have a decent seat in Stall(row X ) after 35 pounds so still full price i think

Saw Bayer on Saturday's matinee - phenomenal.
What I loved was the attention to detail - Jamie was reading this month's Cosmo, and had coloured beads on his school shoe laces! The effort put in by everyone, cast and crew, is so clear and makes the show unforgettable.
For anyone who hasn't seen it - dare you not to cry during Beautiful and He's My Boy. Most of us in the front stalls were wrecks!!

Just watched the WEL performance. Am not really on board with Luke as Jamie based on that. To me his voice didn't sound that great and the accent felt like it was getting in the way and was a distraction to me, unlike John's performance I saw in the show. That said, I'm sure hes good live.
