So I'm guessing it'll be Groundhog Day vs Waitress battling it out to move in to the Aldwych at the end of the year?

Oh how sad Two and a half years! Then straight out on UK tour. In the context of today's other news, is this really so sad?

Just to reiterate, I am not comparing it in any way shape or form to the events of last night.

Oh come on, yes last nights events are terrible and incredibly sad but please don't try compare the two. It is in no way relevant.

I wonder if Lorna knew when she gave her last performance before maternity leave that it would (most probably) be her last.

Speaking personally I'd like to see a play go back into the Aldwych, always thought of it as more of a playhouse...

Speaking personally I'd like to see a play go back into the Aldwych, always thought of it as more of a playhouse... It's ideal for some incoming shows, as it is a medium size, ideal real estate theatre. I don't really know what to expect to go in there. In my mind though, I think it may well be Waitress. And not for the Jessie Mueller connection, but I know Waitress has been lurking for about 6/8 months now.

I know that Waitress was looking at the Aldwych as a potential home. That said, most new shows look at multiple venues so that may mean nothing!

What about "Everybody's Talking About Jamie" going into the Aldwych?

What about "Everybody's Talking About Jamie" going into the Aldwych? Where it would promptly die a death as no-one has ever heard of it?

Would be the perfect size for Finding Neverland, although the continuous 'it is coming' really is a 'it isn't coming', sadly.

I'd love a short run of a play, and then maybe something like the Addams Family. Something niche, but with selling power. Any show that is good, not from Broadway and doesn't have to get be brand new, but could be a touring show with some added sparkle for London. It's a shame now that we immediately tend to think 'what musical could come from Broadway' when a London theatre becomes available.

Would be an excellent fit for Waitress, which is excellent.
Probably a bit early fro Dear Evan Hansen and Come From Away.

Personally i think you could say the same for waitress Waitress is such a weak show. Seeing Sara Barielles in it was great but it just shows how flawed the staging, choreography, etc are.
