I think it will do ok here.. But it won't and can't do better than it does on Broadway. Our tickets are nowhere as expensive as there so it won't raid in the same ££s.

Have you seen no video/pics of it in NY? It IS a naff looking show. Saw the time-lapse video of the set build of this show yesterday, and can't help but feel that the set looks ever so slightly...cheap. |

You gave a good reason why not to invest in shows and that being that th show you invested in lost all its investment. It's a crapshoot.
The Broadway show will make more money at the box office in New York tickets are more expensive, it's true! However to costs to put a show on in New York are a lot more, with all those exhubant wages and hanger On my way!, also all the development cost were done in America that included two expensive try outs.

With a cost of roughly 40 and selling tickets for as low as £15, that's the facts in black and white, why it never made any money.

I'm guessing you've put money in this Parsley, given you attended a rehearsal room run too? Smart move if so, can't see a Disney show not recouping.
As far as it looking cheap, the technical side certainly isn't (those moving lights are bloody expensive, and require a great deal of maintenance as well). Remember the time lapse was taken during working light, and lighting a piece of set right can make a world of difference. Really hammers home how small the wings are in the time lapse, barely any space between loading dock and playing space.
EDIT: And we are all talking, I've helped stage a lot of shows too. Don't think that has any bearing on what I think a show looks like or not tbh.
