Can anyone tell me if the £14.75 seats available on line on the day are the same seats as the dayseats?
In other words do people in the dayseat queue get first dibs with only any left over being made available on line?
Thank you!

If unsold sometimes they go online for £12-14 but is rare. The £14.75 seats in the dress are better for a first experience if you want to see all the choreography

...and where are said seats available from? Oh are the no £14.75 seats in the dress this week? Maybe they're having a busy week. Normally the price is cut to £14.75 a week before the performance.

Does anyone remember when this first went live and the cheapest seats were £40 and we were all complaining?!

Delfont Mackintosh? The theatre? Dayseats from the box office. Delfont mackjntosh price dynamically so there is scope for a bargain on there, especially the £14.75 seats.

The £14.75 seats (£12.50 in person/with DMT+ membership) tend to be the back row of stalls and dress, sometimes more if it's super quiet. They only seem to appear when the Balcony is closed so this will generally be on the day, sometimes a few days before. When I purchased them in person I had to specifically ask for them, they did try to offer me Row E in the Stalls for £25, a bargain in itself. So in summary, generally not the same seats as Day Seats (though not unheard of last minute), people in the day seat queue won't be offered them, you'll need to specifically ask for that price band or purchase online

I checked the DM website out of curiosity yesterday or the day before, late morning, and about 3/4 for the front row of the stalls were on sale for £14.75. Only time I've seen that, though, but not unheard of.

About a month or so into the run I got front row for £12.50 about an hour and a half before the show

Yes, I've seen the same, it does seem that the front row day seats, if not sold as day seats in the morning, go on sale at £14.75 on the website.
As for looking for cheap seats, they really dynamically price this. Prices shoot down about a week before, then if it isn't selling well, they go down again on the day (and possibly even again later in the day too). And this is on the official website (with the delfontmackintosh booking system).

I'm so pleased I accidentally discovered Theatre Board. I was going to chance my arm and try at the box office for a £20 day seat, which is never guaranteed when you live outwith London and rarely arrive before 11.30am. Failing that, I was going to try for a £25 ticket from the TKTS booth. Then I read a post that really good value tickets were often available in advance. So ahead of my trip to London last Wednesday, I went online and booked the legendary D25 for just £14.75. That is a great price for such an amazing seat. Thank you for the advice. I've never been a stage-door Johnny, but I've now gone autograph hunting twice in just seven days. I embarrassingly mumbled to Charlie Stemp (as he was undressing) that he was really going places. He very modestly replied that, right now, the WHOLE company are concentrating only on Half a Sixpence. What a nice young man! Please tell us more about this? It's not as exciting as it may seem; I was being all theatrical. After dancing almost non-stop for 2 and 3/4 hours, the lovely Mr Stemp exited the stage door wearing more layers than he needed on one of the hottest days of the year (by UK standards). Sorry to disappoint.

Saw the matinee yesterday from that brilliant D25 in the Royal Circle. For £14.75 on the website, on the day that seat is an absolute steal. Burly was resplendent on his throne, legroom-a-go-go, room for the bag, the drink, possibly even a pony! And a brilliant view of the stage, not a thing missed. You're also outtathere in about 10 seconds flat at the end of the show. Perfect!
As for the show, I'm pleased I saw it, but it's a bit too "oops! Cor blimey!" for me. I found that quite waring. But they won me over by the end of Act 2 just by being so damned energetic and likeable and because of those big set-piece numbers. Pick Out A Simple Tune didn't really impress me on the Palladium show but live it was a triumph. A nice way to spend the afternoon but pleased I didn't pay top price.

Help!!! When I worked the follow spot for an amateur production of Half a Sixpence perhaps 20 or more years ago, I'm sure there was a jolly, full company number called 'Enry's Fish and Chips. It was probably too much like Flash, Bang, Wallop to make the new version, but it's not even listed on the Wikipedia entry for the old version. I'm not imagining things, am I?

As it happens, someone else on there swore they thought Fish & Chips was from Half A Sixpence, but it definitely isn't. Another remembered that they had thought Tommy Steele had even sang the song, but still not from Sixpence. Then, someone reckoned it was from the musical Charlie Girl, which does indeed list Fish & Chips in the song list. Could this be it? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Girl

Saw this last night, and it was the one show I was looking forward to the most of this weekend. It didnt disappoint.
Charlie Stemp is a machine. It kind of sickened me that there he was singing whilst dancing, spinning, jumping and twirling, while also playing a banjo. And I felt exhausted just walking up a flight of stairs to leave the theatre. I think he might also be my man-crush haha.
Emma Williams has the voice of an angel. It was actually my first time ever seeing her in a show, which makes me disappointed in myself. I know she as a reputation of only originating roles, but everytime she was onstage, all I could think was that she should be Mary Poppins.
I would comment on the rest of the cast, but nearly every other role apart from Ann and Lady Punnet were understudies and I didnt get a good look at the cast screen to see who was who, but everyone was great.
Such a feel good, energetic and very British musical.

When the same operatic society performed Charlie Girl, I was working the flies that year. I suppose it does show how similar Half a Sixpence and Charlie Girl are.

You worked both shows 20 years ago and they were by the same composer - I'm not surprised at all that they seem to have merged!!

Rather than bring in Stiles and Drewe for a rewrite, perhaps Sir Cameron should have just merged Half a Sixpence and Charlie Girl. It could have been the start of a new trend (and a new thread)!
(I may be misremembering again, but isn't there is a scene in Charlie Girl where all the ladies strip down to their underwear? As a young man, being in the flies would have been the place to be that year. I'm a reformed character now I'm older!!)
