I've had a bad relapse and I wouldn't be able to even get there. Hope you feel better soon showoff . This is a very long show, and you are wise not to chance it unless totally well. Thank you TM. That's what I thought, it's just a bit too much and also the travel to get there (I'm in London, but the outskirts so it would be underground) it's just not feasible. Fingers crossed for September now!

No, not sure why you'd ask that? She understandably only does certain performances a week it seems (no-one's quite sure of the schedule or whether it is even fixed), but she's due to complete the run if she wishes to do so. It just seemed that the only reports about her performing were in early August when they filmed the show. Wasn't her first or second show the first performance they filmed? Ruthie was on as Lady Thiang when I saw the show last week. I believe she is performing all the shows apart from one day a week when Naoko Mori takes over the role.

I think it's great that productions are screened to cinemas for many reasons. One of the main ones being making it financially accessible to people.
It is funny to think of the difference in price for this production in cinema Vs theatre though!

Over the moon Ruthie will be on in the performance I'll now be going to.
I do think I'll feel quite emotional though, knowing everything she has been through and she's still here and giving us the gift of her performance.

Hopefully this recorded performance will get a DVD release. I'd go to see it in the cinema but I'd have no way of getting home after since I don't live that close to the cinema showing it.

Saw this tonight and took my mum, which is very rare occurrence, but she loves The King and I, mum rarely goes to theatre, so I can’t blame her, she was absolutely raving about Kelli O’Hara, which I totally agree wit, so third time seeing this, plays once on Broadway.
No Ruthie tonight, but glad she has come over after a wretched year for her, she was awesome when I saw her on Broadway, so for this 2 factors I hope her and Kelli get the Olivier next year, plus this to get best revival. Might try and slide this in again, just to see Ruthie.
Again another 5 Stars, To pnotch Show, executed brilliantly.

Enjoyed this last night. Ken Watanabe, Kelli O'Hara and Ruthie Ann Miles were all on.
Got TodayTix rush seats which were in the side block of row K - bargain for £25!

Hoping I can get a decent rush ticket for a Saturday, I saw the first preview from the 2nd row of the Upper with no legroom so praying I'll get something better next time! 🤞🏼

What’s did you think of the performances? All great, although I don't have anything to compare them with not having seen the alternates.

That is commitment. I wish people realise actors are people. After that really awful thing that happened to Sheridan.

She might not, it'll be a strong year - Adrienne Warren for one, and possibly Eva Noblezada as well. It'll be interesting to see if Ruthie or Naoko (or both even) get nominated.

It'll be interesting to see how the nominations work with Ruthie and Naoko basically having shared the role 50/50 - could they be nominated together (assuming their performances are of similar quality, I've not seen the show yet)? Has that been done before? Either way, I'm guessing Patti will end up in the Supporting Actress category and will probably constitute pretty fierce competition.

Sorry if I'm missing something but what has Eva been in or going to be in this year that she can get nominated for an Olivier ?
