But unfair of them to decide the audience by lottery while cancelling the tickets of those who had booked. I guess they want the die hard screaming stans in the audience I do think they should have given people the option. Tickets had been booked in good faith. I'd be furious if they'd cancelled mine for a show that was still going ahead. The only slight justification might be if these shows won't be 'normal' shows - cameras in the way, stop and starting, etc - but even then they should give people the information and let them choose. |

Just think how exciting it will be to be Steve (or Sharon) at the filmed performance. Your guest role immortalised for all time. Plus, presumably you’ll be entitled to royalties!

I'm going to see the final show tonight - apologies if this is a stupid question, but I've never been to a Heathers cast change so was wondering does anyone know if they usually do speeches at the end?
We're planning on going for dinner afterwards, so just trying to roughly plan what time the show will finish if it typically runs over a little bit on cast change days. I know not all shows do this now, so I'm not sure.
Really looking forward to it though!

Ended up catching both matinees this weekend, with the full cast on apart from Benjamin Karran.
Both excellent, bud different, shows. I did spot plenty of the regulars in the first few rows.
Saturday had a Steve who was with his family, who I heard telling some other people he felt "humiliated" after the show. Sunday had a younger Steve who was very excitable and enthusiast, even letting off a screech of surprise after the punchline, which earned him a round of applause.
It was a very enthusiastic audience all round, with applause on many of the lines and several standing ovations during the show.
There were a lot of muckup matinee elements, but not as many as some shows. Mostly just a lot of overacting and subtle movement/line changes. So the final explosion was caused by an "earthquake", Tom and George were more playful than usual with each other throughout, everything from fingering at the start, to getting close to lip kissing later (rather than just a kisson the cheek), lots of cast giggles at moments you wouldn't expect (I'm sure there were changes I didn't spot from the angle I was sat at) etc. Jermaine had a grin on his face almost the whole show.
Lizzie had added a blue flashing light to her cart and also had a pink guitar for the finale.
Steven did a spinaroonie during the dad's party introduction.
Then the highlight came with Tom and George changing some lines and revealing their matching underwear during the graveyard scene, which now said Kurt and Ram on the back in matching fonts. That one really brought the house down!
All good fun and very glad I went again today (hadn't originally planned to, but managed to rush and even got a better ticket than usual, second row and a few seats in).
Hope everyone at the final show (with the current cast) tonight has an excellent time. I'm sure it will be emotional.

It's cast change today and they haven't said who are staying and who are going? This show just gets stranger and stranger. |

I’ve just gotten back from the show tonight and I think anyone else who was there will agree that it was electric!
I won’t go into all the details about the funny changes that went on, as others have covered it, but they had the audience eating out of their hands for the entire show.
The entire cast are absolutely brilliant, this has to be the one they choose to record my opinion.
Special mention to Alisa and Maddison, who added some crazy riffs into their songs that blew the roof off - Maddison especially is one of the strongest female vocalists on the west end right now in my opinion and will go onto massive things I’m sure!

I have to admit I was a bit surprised by the lack of goodbye at the end, any other cast change I've ever been to will have the lead actor making it known to the audience at the minimum, but also the creative director will often come out and say a few words. I've never been to a Heather's cast change before though, so I can only assume this is just how they do it. Paul Taylor Mills was standing by the bar when I was ordering a drink at the interval though, so he was definitely there. |

The last proper cast change (when Emma, Ivan, Kayleigh and Kieran left) Ailsa/Lizzie bea did make a speech and when Sam left he gave a speech and thanked everyone as well. Jacob didn’t give/get given a speech when he left though. I was kind of expecting someone to say something this evening but there was a lot of them leaving this evening so maybe it would of been too long, who knows. |

So unless they started with solos on the leads, I'm not sure who's in it! |

Hannah Lowther (new wave girl) will be leaving the show on Sunday 12th June! It’s fair to say Hannah has had an incredible journey with heathers, including making heathers history by being the first person the play all three heathers and has been an asset to the company. It’ll be very exciting to see what she goes onto next and I think this is just the beginning of an amazing career for Hannah.
Who knows maybe she’ll be back one day in a full time principal role, because we all know once you join the heathers cast you never truly leave.
