The girl really can't win sometimes can she!! Right! I don’t follow her closely on social media, but it’s not her fault if tptb decide to utilise her social media following to help sell the product. I personally don’t think there was any lack of sincerity in her then asking for said cast album artwork to be altered. If she’s have said nothing she’d have been attacked for that also |

No one is attacking anyone. I wrote a post here recently about this board becoming more and more unpleasant and this is exactly why. There are ways to do things discreetly and ways to make a fuss about doing things. Carrie made a huge fuss about doing this rather than doing it subtley which to me was screaming for attention but hey that’s just my opinion and I am entitled to it. To say I am attacking someone is a bit far fetched and unfair. I think it’s time to become a Lurker rather than a poster on this board. 😔

Mine was a general point in response to a poster who said CFH can’t do write for doing wrong. I’m not even a fan of hers particularly (and have never seen her perform live) but I do think she’s talented, and it’s a shame things that are out of her control (like her name on the cast album artwork) get thrown back at her in a negative way, like it has on social media. |

oh please, she is using her influence in the net over young people to get them to buy anything that got her name on it and using her „popularity „ to get roles so she also has to deal with negative comments

Anybody know when heathers is coming back?? I’m guessing not till the autumn now that Carrie is in les miz. They will probably Waite till she is finished. Then bring it back to the other palace or haymaket or perhaps a completely new venue that’s avaible.

Seventeen has now been released and Carrie’s name has been removed from the artwork. No other changes to the cover though.

As of right now, Spotify artwork has not changed. So on Apple Music the cover hasn’t changed yet when viewing the album in my library but it does change when you play one of the songs. |

When playing the song on Spotify it’s still the old artwork. Perhaps Artwork changes need time to change on the system so we’ll wait for a bit. |

First thing I listened to was Freeze Your Brain but now I’m being good and listening from start to finish, partly so I have time to prepare myself for Our Love is God and Meant To Be Yours! |

I'm listening to it now. It's OK. Nothing new or interesting compared to the Original Off-Broadway Recording. Jamie is the best part of the whole thing. I don't even Candy Store sounds that great. The three girls voices don't blend that well in my opinion, and T'Shan doesn't sound great in my opinion, at all. And obviously weaker than Sophie and Jodie. It just sounds like a Cast Recording they rushed out because there was demand, rather than something they spent any real time on, which is ironic.
But also, I like Carrie. But something about her voice on here, is just a bit too drama school for me. She just sounds like a generic accent, and you can just tell she is acting rather than really being a character. It's definitely Carrie singing the Heathers score rather than Veronica singing the score. It's a bit sad really because I remember her being great live.

The fact they recorded a whole album in 1 session is worrying and definitely shows. The auto-tune on Jodie's voice especially stands out. I'll be honest, 'IWNGUA' is the first time I've actually heard the lyrics as in the theatre, trying to get the words was hard work. I love Carrie in this and think she's fantastic but in this, she is very much singing through the score rather than actually performing it. It's such a shame as this recording had scope to be really, really amazing. One song that sounds absolutely phenomenal and probably my favourite on the whole album is Kindergarden Boyfriend. Now, that's a treat! |

Hmm. It's good but not mind-blowing. I prefer the off-broadway recording, it's much better produced. Oddly some of the vocal choices on this album are not as they were in the show - perhaps a mismatch between what the MD was telling them to do on stage and what the writers were telling them to do in the recording booth? The voices are also less vibrant than in the theatre. It feels like something has been done somewhere along the production process that has made voices flatter (not in pitch but in timbre) - I find it most noticeable with Carrie and Jamie, whose voices just don't come across as energetic or textured as in the theatre.

Agreed about what's been said. Muscato is the best thing about this recording.
CHF is great but this is not her best.

On the plus side, can we appreciate how ROCKING the band are. The Heathers entrance is phenomenally good - gave me huge goosebumps!
