I think the best way to handle Amber's absence is to get Graham Norton to make a joke about one too many glasses of technical difficulties on TV in front of millions of people. I can't see any potential problems with that  *Disclaimer - I love Sheridan and I know it wasn't her fault* |

Well I can't imagine Kaz Mav would be in mind for Bway anyway but Maz Wal might be in with a chance of alternate. But then Maz has made an occasional fruity remark on Twitter such as "there's no substitute for technique" which was obviously aimed at either Kaz or Ambz.

What is wrong with these girls!!! It's getting a tad ridiculous now. Speak to your agent or something if you think you're being mistreated. Or call Equity! But this indirect tweeting has to stop, surely?! It's so cringingly unprofessional! All it seems to be for is to provide the person tweeting with an ego rub from from their die-hard fans.
Unless...with my Burly hat on....it's just another ploy from SFP to get us all to keep talking about the show?! So far so good.....but I don't see that somehow. Sounds rather harsh, I know, but I think they all need to grow up a little and get on with the job in hand. It's only a show!!

I know it's all a bit uncertain but if Amber goes ahead with her holidays, Karen could be getting a long run of shows as Marisha is also on holiday from tomorrow!

I know she's been removed from the programme, but we've had no evidence that Karen can do a week of Effie without a show off with more pointing towards the fact that she may struggle a bit for this? And surely Candace was rehearsed in, being that she was listed as an Effie understudy for so long? Even more exciting times at Dreamgirls! Someone should make a show about this....  |

It looks like they updated Amber's holidays on ATG website. It now shows that she's off on 1st August, 9th August and then in September.

I did think it would be weird to have Amber and Marisha away at one time! Who knows if this is just a simple holiday change or whether it has anything to do with Amber's recent absence. I personally like to imagine Marisha and Amber having a riff off to see who wins the holiday time! |

Act 1 Scene 1 The Oliviers red carpet. Enter Frieda Songman from a limo. The feared West End producer is resplendent in a crystal encrusted gown and full length mink. The boss of the Oliviers holds his hand out to greet her "Miss Songman we are hon..." Frieda slips off her coat and plonks it into his outstretched hand. "Ta love" she croaks (in a thick northern accent). She turns to the paparazzi, posing extravagantly and sings the opening number "I Heart Being Me!" etc |

In a later scene, Frieda arrives at the opening night party of her new musical "The Flames" (about a 1960's Motown girl group) in the same sequinned gown as her feisty American lead actress Amethyst O'Mally. After a huge row they end Act 1 with the riff-off duet "Glisten". |
