So why are they drip feeding us casting news ? Probably because their hand was forced by the paper leaking and then EastEnders confirming he's leaving What paper ? |

Has it now been confirmed somewhere that the UK&Ireland 2018 tour cast will also be doing Zurich? It hasn't been confirmed publically, I imagine that will come with the full cast announcement, but yes it is the same cast doing it  I just don't want to see Ms Nutella again, so I'm a bit over-cautious. |

You'd have thought they would announce Elphaba and Glinda at the same time - they will have been cast by now so why just do Fieyro?! I know they're on the back foot today but silly to just do one! Amy Ross as Elphaba Helen Woolf as Glinda Jessamy Stoddard as Standby Elphaba I was actually told the other month that Jessamy is gonna be the standby on the tour, so we'll have to wait and see |

The social media does seem to always say UK/Ireland tour 2018 and not mention Zurich. But there is no way they will cast an entire show just for a five week engagement while simultaneously casting an entire show for the new UK tour. |

Somebody I know who is in the ensemble is doing both Zurich and the UK tour, so I assumed that would be the same for the entire company.
Agreed it makes no sense to rehearse a whole separate cast for the short engagement in Zurich, but who knows.

Yeah I agree, it cannot be the ex-Asian cast as Jackie Hughes has other work lined up and some of the cast have already confirmed they're not joining the next tour, so there would be a number of roles they'd need to fill including Fieyro!
I just can't see how it's not the new UK cast doing Zürich unless it doesn't happen and they cancel it!

I believe from this it is safe to assume that both Zurich and the UK & Ireland Tour are both part of the same tour and will feature the same cast. |

It only makes sense that Zurich will have the same cast as the remainder of the tour. I don't know why people believe that they would have a different cast, I find the notion quite ludicrous.

Agreed. That said, I do find it plausible that individual cast members could do just Zurich. For example (and I know this won't happen!) if they signed up Rachel to open the tour, but only for the Zurich stint. But yeah, no way it'll be a whole new company.
