Just found out I'll be heading to Zurich for the opening night of the tour and the Friday show that week also, what a treat! Excited to see many debut performances!

The Zurich cast will be different to the UK & Ireland Tour cast Do you have anymore info on this? The social media does seem to always say UK/Ireland tour 2018 and not mention Zurich. But there is no way they will cast an entire show just for a five week engagement while simultaneously casting an entire show for the new UK tour. European tour then maybe? Otherwise it really is silly to cast it for just a 5 week run.

It was misinformation from someone on here!

Does anyone have any knowledge about seating in the Edinburgh Playhouse? I am planning to book tickets but want to know whether I should sit a few rows back or go for one of the front few rows?

When does Beautiful close?
... Could Cassidy Janson return?

When does Beautiful close? ... Could Cassidy Janson return? CJ was my favourite Elphaba but I really don't see her returning unfortunately. She was with the show for almost 3 years and that was 10+ years ago. I'd really love to see her return but don't think it's likely.

As unlikely as it seems, CJ did tweet that she had a big announcement coming in September!
EDIT: Ah it's definitely not CJ, she tweeted someone confirming that she's not going on tour with Wicked.

We could also potentially be getting a new standby for Elphaba. I doubt it, but the idea of having two brand new Elphabas is quite exciting!

It would be cute to announce it on the 27th as an 11th anniversary gift, it would also be exactly a year since the tour was announced. But obviously that's not a Friday.

But obviously that's not a Friday. They announced the new London cast on a Thursday, so it could be any day! The selfishness in me hopes they announce it very early in September, and with some of the cast leaked they might do it early just to get it out of the way, fingers crossed! 👍🏼

After London cast change I thought it could be Suzie Mathers as Michael McCabe said in her farewell speech that it wasn't the last we'd seen of her.
But then there was a strong rumour it could be Helen Woolf who was in the ensemble and 1st u/s Glinda in London who has just left. Helen pretty much covered the Standby role so it would be a great move for her to get the tour lead. But with a brand new Fieyro and rumoured brand new Elphaba it could be someone brand new too for Glinda!

I wonder if they have finally caught on that alot of people don't like that there hasn't been a brand new Elphaba since 2010, so are going to do a brand new touring Elphaba just to shut us all up?
Then again... this is Wicked. 😅

The amount of people that actually care about this could be counted on both hands.
The vast majority of people couldn't give a hoot whether the green girl they see has done 1 show before or a million.
Don't be fooled that Wicked are any way influenced by the views of the obsessional few of us.

Suzie is doing a concert in London in November so can't be in Zurich and London at the same time.
Unless she does it on a Sunday of course...

To be honest, I find the whole getting annoyed over the "no new Elphaba" situation to be a bit ridiculous. Yes, it would be nice to get a brand new Elphaba but some people act as if the world has ended that an Elphaba has been promoted internally or that a lead has returned after a hiatus, while proclaiming that the they will never see the show again (which, let's face it, we know isn't true). The Amy Ross rumours are very encouraging however, I would like to see them be true.

I often wonder if people crying out for a new Elphaba are actually bored of the show, but don't want to give up on it!
It should really be the show that keeps you going, not the fact a new actress is about to join! And if you don't like the current lead, then surely the next person will be better, recycle or not! 🤔

Well maybe, but any fan of wicked or any show who managed to see a show with the same cast more than twice is amazing to me. I absolutely could not go to a show more than twice unless it was to see different people in the roles. One you see a show and know the show then surely it does become about seeing new takes on the roles?

Absolutely, but I know people who never saw Alice Fearn while she was standby but have refused to see her since she took over as lead purely because she wasn't new to the show. It's a lose-lose situation.
