I see Natalie Langston is in the cast list so I'm guessing she's probably the alternate Eva again, unless anyone knows anything otherwise.

I looked on the Kenwright website, Natalie is alternate Eva with Sarah O'Connor as the Mistress and Oscar Balmaseda as Magaldi.

I don't know what Mr Kenwright was thinking when he agreed to this - it is brilliant for us, but no way near tacky enough for his normal castings.

I first saw GiamMarko way back — on Coccian'te's Guilietta and Romeo videos — and I felt in love with him immidiately! After all these years I'm finally seeing him live, happy Christmas! Booked Bromley, luckily I'm in London on these dayes and had a free evening left

What about Sue ? Are you in? Booked Bristol this morning! Row Y in stalls unfortunately-it'd been selling very well long before casting had been announced-but so glad we're going! And by the sounds of it, very strong casting to do credit to such lovely music and lyrics. Roll on February! What about you BurlyBear-I guess you wont be resisting?!

Just come back from the 2nd performance of the tour at Bromley. I must say it's very well cast, especially GianMarco - certainly a sight for sore eyes (and ears!) after Marti Pellow the last time round, with fantastic charisma. Also he spends Money Kept Rolling In in a tank top which earned no complaints from me Emma acts it very well, singing-wise Rainbow High is a highlight but she sang the very belty parts of A New Argentina an octave down which was a bit disappointing. Sadly for me no-one can come close to Hannah Grover from the tour a few years back. Oscar Balmaseda as Magaldi made a big impression in a small role - very appropriately hammy and up-himself. For those who are interested, the understudies are: Eva - Kellie Gnauck Che - Matias Stegmann (an actual Argentinian according to his bio) Peron - George Arvidson Magaldi - Dominic Adam Griffin Mistress - Jude Neill

Unfortunately, I think all of Kenwright's Evas sing 'A New Argentina' an octave down, especially for the first two sections - they usually sing it as written on the third section. This is common practice on U.K. Tours now - even Louise Dearman did it when she played the role. Very disappointing, as this is the big Act I finale.

Err, Elaine Paige sang it that way too back in the 70's - this is nothing new.

Did she? She certainly didn't in at least the first half of her run. She played it for almost 2 years. Maybe she sang it like the current Evas later in her run, but certainly not to begin with.

That's really interesting that she sang it like that. In the bootlegs I have, she sings it as written. In fact, she goes right up on the final lines of sections 2 and 3. It is well known that she suffered intermittent vocal problems during her run. Maybe she was forced to sing an octave down because of this. Or maybe it was only an occasional thing she did to protect her voice. Who knows?

I know this is scheduled for Wolverhampton but does anyone know if its coming to Birmingham? Don't think so - last time it was at the Hippodrome it sold appallingly and that was only a couple of years ago. Who knows though, stranger things have happened.
