Top prices in excess of £125 apparently, but mid-prices at £75 and £50-odd. Good grief I paid about £30 for the front row head-on at Sheffield.

For some reason £26 sticks in my mind for Sheffield, but I could be wrong & I'm on a train so can't check right now. I know my Cambridge-Sheffield train ticket cost more than the theatre ticket. I was afraid that even if it did transfer the prices would triple so I'm glad I saw it in Sheffield because I'll never be able to afford front row centre in London. And because of seeing Michael Xavier. Re the unfortunately named Gaylord, I'm not sure quite what it says about today's society that the audience when I saw it reacted more to that than to the black characters being hit & called niggers. Edited to add: booked for 1st preview, as I already have a matinee booked in London that day. I've gone for a £39.50 seat, as I can't quite bring myself to pay £59.50 for a show I saw last month for less than half that.

Given the ticket prices and advertised length of the run (even at this stage), I'm not rushing to book and am hoping for deals nearer the time/once it opens.

Glad this is coming to London so I get a chance to see it.
Whilst it's frustrating when prices increase a lot in price when they reach the West End I am ok for this show as my journey to and from London and ticket for this show would still be cheaper than had I gone to Sheffield to see it.
I will of course be holding out for offers though before locking a date a date in for this.

All booked up to see this on the 18th June. Have adored the songs from this for years so am very excited. Am sitting on the side which will be a new experience. Plus in the stalls. Have only sat in the stalls for Jersey Boys in 2012( Parents got a special offer out of a magazine), every other show in the dress circle but I prefer being closer to the stage and as I am paying I am sitting where I want to sit. I wonder when the new Gaylord will be announced? And does anyone have a song list? The one on the Goodspeed opera house is wrong because Hey Feller was included in Sheffield.

Still waiting for further casting! Heard Dale Evans is joining the cast but assuming he's far too young for Gaylord. With one month to go surely we'll get the full cast soon.

Here is a list of the songs from Sheffield: I loved the show in Sheffield and have booked to see it again in London - will be interested to see the new Gaylord and if any changes have been made! Also, I assume Danny Collins - who was excellent as Frank - will not be joining the company in London as he will be in Jekyll & Hyde at the Old Vic?

Danny Collins should be staying in Show Boat, I asked him after a recent performance of Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty because I thought he was a great Frank and was curious. He said he's not going to do matinees while he rehearses Jekyll & Hyde then he'll be back in Show Boat afterwards.

I did wonder if he would join Show Boat afterwards because J&H was such a short run, but this is even better!

So after much self-consulting with the theatremonkey website and a good selection of £19.50 tickets on BargainTheatre, I've booked for the 2nd preview, on the side of Row B of the circle. Can't wait!

I can't see anything on there about 'Showboat' but it looks like a dodgy website with no contact details! Has anybody heard of/used it before?

I can't see anything on there about 'Showboat' but it looks like a dodgy website with no contact details! Has anybody heard of/used it before? It was BargainTheatre in partnership with LOVEtheatre, who are definitely reputable as I've used them before. I saw the offer through BargainTheatre on twitter (@bargaintheatre), there are a few 'bargintheatre' websites after conducting a Google search, but the one that corresponds with the twitter account is bargaintheatreland.com As for the booking fee, yes there are also £19.50 seats available via RUG and the Show Boat website with no fee, but the ones I found elsewhere were better seats but same price! So seemed a no-brainer to me

Really didn't know ATG owned love theatre, that's how they get many fingers in many pies.
