If the swimming pool ain't there, I'm out. I saw a video of how they do it and I could see how it could very easily go wrong for the actor involved. Not sure if they'll manage to install it at all the regional venues though...

I suppose they may use the US set.

I can’t imagine the set in Wimbledon (or any other UK Tour stop) is gonna be better than the one used in New York!

Did they put something back in as recompense?

Did they put something back in as recompense? There was no Pig in the US version. I’m sure someone who saw it in NYC or Toronto will be along at some point to explain what they did! I’ve managed to get all the presale seats I wanted for the tour (going to 3 so far at Wimbledon). Fingers crossed this sells well!

Can anyone pm me the presale link for Wimbledon please? I had signed up at the website but received no e-mail. Seconded! Would love that link as well. As for the beginning of Act 2 in NY: Raven returns home (which ties the beginning of the second act much better to the end of the first act) and after a bit of hysterics begins to sing Heaven can wait. Didn't miss Pig at all - for most of the show Falco is, even if meant to be the evil baddie, more of a buffoon and the parents come across as really likeable. But in that number he's awfully cruel and despicable, which jars with the rest of the show.

As an aside, they have moved it from recommended age of 10+ years to 13+ years. I wonder why that is?
I’ve booked 2 dates with littlest who will be 7 next year- they saw it in London last year when aged 5 and most of the adult stuff will go over their head anyway.

I was initially confused about how to access this presale at Wimbledon.but I then noticed an ATG Theatre Card email-out received yesterday and the link's there.
Rows AA, BB and CC in the stalls are not on sale. That often happens at Wimbledon as well as Woking ; they don't notify customers if those rows are subsequently added but they will change seats on request at least for Theatre Card holders.
The central seats in stalls rows A,B and C are priced £70 as VIP or Variety Bundle, further back the price for central seats is between £30 and £65. Seats at the front but to the left or right cost £55 with a few right at the edges for £32. There are discounts for students at some performances, £25 for £55 seats, and at the Thursday matinee it's £5 cheaper across the board and £40 for seniors on the £50/£55 seats. I paid £40 for row A slightly to the right.
The £13 price promise seats are at the front, sides and back of the Upper Circle.

There was a pre-sale sent out to both ATG card and also a fan list. If the orchestra is in the pit at Wimbledon, then AA, BB and CC are gone. I'm fairly sure that for this, it will be the case. If booking A in that situation, be aware that the first and last seat have no legroom for one leg, and the seat next to that is cramped. Was interested to note that my usual restricted view seat in the stalls is full price for this. Unless they are staging things very differently, someone may be pretty unhappy with the view. I treated myself on this one, can't wait. Thanks for that info. I booked the standard price seat immediately next to the the premiums and five seats in from the side. It's the seat I usually choose if AA-CC are off sale and the legroom and view are spot on.

Well this is wonderful (if slightly unexpected) news. I hoped would tour eventually though did wonder if would ever happen as had all gone rather quiet.
I had hoped would do long sit downs at the biggest theatres but guess they felt there wouldn't be enough demand and wanted something more versatile. The inclusion of Wimbledon which doesn't take the largest tours makes me think will be something more modest. As such I am hoping will be completely re-imagined rather than just the original stripped back.
When I saw the pics from Toronto and USA I did miss the big stone esque lattice that extended into the auditorium from the proscenium top, left and right. And it was just breathtakingly spectacular in London and in Germany where set wise it was a perfect fit into the arena like auditorium (sound and lighting was also incredible there)
Anyway, I shall wait with great excitement to see what it is like. And of course who they cast!

No casting news yet, but hopefully soon as the first date is at the end of March in the US.

I don't think the UK Tour and those Hard Rock Cafe runs are related though? Or will it all be one company doing US, AUS and UK?

I think it might be the same cast - I remember seeing the casting notices on Twitter some time back. Interestingly, the Sloane and Falco roles were posted as possibly all dates except maybe for the UK part of the tour, which makes me really hope that Rob and Sharon will be back.

Hmm, interesting, I didn't know that! Especially as I would have thought the Australian thing would look a lot different if they're trying to fill massive stadiums.

Fingers crossed Rob and Sharon make a return. I hope their commitments with the current Mamma Mia! tour finish in time to reprise their BOOH roles for the UK dates. Being able to see them in 2 productions in the same year would be great theatre viewing.

Is it wrong of me to want to see some new people in these roles? I felt a bit precious about the recast between the first & second run, but much preferred most of the replacements. Bar Mr Polec’s legendary Strat I’d happily watch a different take on any of these characters.
