Well that was easy. Two front row tickets. Might just leave them empty for the hell of it.

Don’t forget that many people have multiple devices open, so the number you see doesn’t necessarily mean that many people in line.

Painless actually. Front row for a date in July. Lovely.

Got my tickets which I'm happy with, but yeah competition was fierce. I hesitated and looked at circle tickets for a second, then came back to stalls and it was suddenly the last 2. As far as I could see it was front row stalls and the back row of both circles. So if you got a good seat for this, the key worker sorts are either going to be looking up over a high stage or at the back of the section.

All booked - front row stalls for late June. Happy to spend £25 to see what JL’s take on R&J comes out like (having loved his ‘reimagining’ of Sunset) and well worth it to avoid having major FOMO when the show opens and everyone’s raving about it!

when the show opens and everyone’s raving about it! Not sure anyone with a passing interest in Shakespeare is going to be raving about this. Enjoy though, there is bound to be Spiderman merch in abundance.

Never got past 15,000 in the queue, so I expect I won't remotely get a chance to see this. Disappointed after having bad placement in the queue during the presale too. The sale started at 3am my time, so I suppose it's time to quit and rest before 7am classes.

Enjoy though, there is bound to be Spiderman merch in abundance. You’re probably right! I studied it for my English Lit GCSE but remember seeing it in the West End on a school trip - does anyone remember what production was performing circa 1993/4?

Sorry it's front stalls, back of dress (royal in this theatre) and front of upper circle.

Although I am not eligible for these kinds of opportunities, I find it galling that people are buying them and then selling them on as scalpers. I don't know what the solution is though other than to hold back a proportion as day seats and insist that ID is presented upon collection so that the seats actually get filled. If they enforce ID checks and turn people away, it means an empty seat. People who scalp on tickets should check their consciences and leave these offers for people with a genuine interest in the show/theatre who meet the eligibility criteria.

Whilst I can empathise about sold out productions Market forces will prevail and you should really blame the people who are willing to pay inflated prices to see shows Not the people selling the tickets Usually this is going to be shows or concerts where fans are frenzied to the point of hysteria I know people who are seeing Taylor Swift 6 times in London I bet some are seeing this R&J more than once

Market forces will prevail and you should really blame the people who are willing to pay inflated prices to see shows Not the people selling the tickets This is the exception to the market forces rule, though. These specific tickets have been subsidised by the producers for a specific class to attend, not so they can resell the tickets. Its outrageous to resell these tickets. It should be stopped.

Yup exactly. These tickets were meant for people who want to see the play but could not afford regular priced tickets sold earlier. If they really will check for ID, I imagine there will be a returns queue where the production can resell this discounted ticket at full price.

Don't think the £25 front row tickets are such a great deal. The stage is really high at the Duke of York theatre and for An Enemy of the People you only get to see about 50% of the stage. For Backstairs Billy the same tickets were priced at £10 and that's about the right price.

I'm waiting to see if an NT Live broadcast (or recording for later broadcast) is announced. With all the interest, it would benefit many fans who couldn't book for the live performances.
