Do we know who’s playing tess yet we were supposed to find out in February It must be a big name as they’ve announced Tess understudies but not the actor played Tess herself.

Are my phone speakers ok? 😕 I hope she hasn’t damaged them.

I’m taking one for the team with this and so far it’s not looking promising. I thought Todrick Hall was choreographing it but now I gather he’s actually IN it. I can’t stand him and this girl is sounding less than competent.
* fast forward to June when I’m posting from the interval squeaking “I love it” 🤪

Beginning to regret getting a ticket

Jackie Burns name has been on the poster for Burlesque in Glasgow for a while, they must have put it up by mistake.

This is back at Manchester Opera House in the autumn for a 5 week run They’re doing a lottery (unheard of in Manchester) for £15 front row seats but if I understood the ig post correctly you have to submit entries by 10th June. Also advertising that “producer seats” now released for previously sold out perfs.

If anyone signed up for the front row lottery - emails have just gone out - managed to get a ticket for the last matinee for £20

Does this have a theater booked in London yet? I’m sure it would do if ‘Doubtfire’ hadn’t taken off quite as much as it had.

Once again I very much doubt they’ve invested in this without a clear view to a WE run. We could have the Doubtfire discussion again I suppose “it hasn’t got a theatre… it still hasn’t got a theatre” and then what happened! It landed squarely in the Shaftesbury just as everyone expected.

I’m pretty sure this isn’t being produced by Jamie Wilson? He has control of the Shaftesbury for 10 years or something- and he won’t put another producers show in there.

Mrs. Doubtfire extended all the way back at the start of the year with like a year's run ahead but it has not met expectations. I'd expect it to not extend again.
I can't guess what show would go in there after. Burlesque I feel like as well as that Dolly Parton show the strategy is to tour until it gets into a West End theatre when it becomes available. I don't think it's actually been solid booked anywhere..?
Edit: wasn't the ETA November 2024? Can't be the Shaftesbury then, unless Doubtfire announces a sudden early closing.
