We need a discreet, secret sign to identify ourselves. Maybe tap dancing through the door doing jazz hands?
Also, apologies for totally railroading the Bodyguard thread. Oops.

If you walk out of the Old Vic, turn right and walk down that street, you'll find the Nero

Walked past on my way to Yerma. Were you the group in the middle one of whom had a light blue t shirt?

Looking at the number of seats left on the dominion website this seems to be massively struggling. There are tons of seats available for both the matinee and evening performances today, so mid week can't be very healthy. I hope they see sense and get some deals out there for it.

Maybe that's because Beverley isn't scheduled to perform today as she's in Switzerland. I don't think it is struggling, I swear Baz said it's taken around £5 million in advance. From the pictures I've seen online, it's quite busy

I suspect Beverley not being on hasn't helped today, considering the show is so heavily promoted as Beverley. And her holiday dates have been up since she was announced so people have known for a while she wouldn't be on.

I saw a midweek show last week which was almost 100% full. As Beverley Knight's not on today, that maybe why it's not as full.

Even at this week's wednesday matinee, both levels open, stalls I'd say was a little over 1/2 full. Even a half full Dominion Theatre would give a 75% full Adelphi Theatre. I think it's doing just fine!

Well she's on this week and she was on when i saw it on tour so thinking she must be first cover. I wasn't really very impressed but maybe she was having an off day and will be different this time.

Do we know if Rachel has any other days off. We booked ages ago so we know Beverley is on (barring illness)

Emmy's down as first cover in the London Programme, I assume it could be because Ibinabo is leaving early for Dreamgirls. Mark Willshire made his full show debut as Frank Farmer on Saturday along with Charles Hagarty as Ray Court

Ooo so both leads were off on Saturday....interesting.
Ibinabo will be leaving in a few months I think so yeah that's probably why she's not 1st cover.

If you don't win the TodayTix lottery, they send you a second chance discount. Front stalls A-P for £33, which seems to be the best deal out there. It's 100% simply the Beverley show, and she is fantastic.

I saw this today. I saw it on tour in Birmingham but this was my first time watching it in London. I have to say i didn't enjoy it as much as on tour. I don't quite know what it was but i just didn't. I remember loving the show after my first viewing, embracing the cheesiness. I wanted to go back ASAP but i just don't really feel the same after watching it today. I mean it was good, i enjoyed it but...i dunno. To be honest i thought the tour cast was better. To a man. I liked Ben Richards but his accent was dodgy and his little singing scene was no where near as funny as the tour Frank. The stalker on tour was FAR creepier. He was hilarious with his creepiness and that was a lot of the fun of it but this stalker today was really plain and i just didn't like him. I had Emmy Willow on as Nicky on tour and today and i have to say she was a highlight. When i saw her on tour i thought she was quite weak but today she was fantastic. I must have seen her on a dodgy day on tour, that's all. And now Bev......i wanted to completely love her in this role....but i kinda just...didn't. She's good and i enjoyed her but honestly i thought she was far better in Memphis...though even then i thought Matt stole that show. For one thing the accent was just not working for me and the acting.....sometimes it was good, and in those moments was much better than Alex, but when it was bad, which it sometimes was, it was worse than Alex. Especially the emotional/upset scenes. I think a lot of it has to do with teh accent tbh, upset and wobbly in that accent sounds so cringey. I've defended her acting before as i honestly thought there was no issue in Memphis with it when i saw it so was kinda surprised i disliked some of her acting in this so much. She has great voice and had some great vocal moments, but some weaker ones too and quite honestly i'm not entirely sure that a lot of these songs really suit her style of voice. I think i'm being too harsh just overall but that's at the moment how i feel about it all. I still enjoyed the show, had fun, still like Bev, but i thought the tour was better or at least the cast and i don't feel in a rush to see it again like i did after the tour.
Oh and this was my first time at the Dominion and it was a lovely theatre. I gather a lot of refurb work went on and it's lovely.
