I'm concerned about the mixture of alcohol and theatre etiquette. The use of glassware instead of plastic cups is troublesome as well. I was at a recent performance where the group next to me had two champagnes each and while they were emptied during the performance, became musical instruments for the audience members. I said something and they apologized, but why did it happening to begin with? I haven't seen any glass in the ATG Manchester venues, even if ordering Prosecco to the seat, the staff poor it into plastic cups in front of you and take the glass away. In some ATG London venues they encourage you to take bottles of wine/ Prosecco to your seat rather than leave the bottle in the bar.

Saw this at Curve last night. Christmas present for my mum wouldn’t have necessarily seen it out of choice. First half I thought was okay Second half I loved.
I haven’t seen the film since it came out at the cinema but it felt like there some differences plot wise.
For me it was strongest with the songs from the film, shoe horning so much Whitney kept pulling me out.
Loved the projections, loved the whole Gialli feel to the stalker, no Melody not sure if she was off for the week or has left now but Samantha Mbolekwa was to my mind excellent vocally dancing more than fine.
Audience really well behaved, bit of laughing at high drama moments but for me a really enjoyable night at the theatre

I reviewed this on Monday in Crawley for Zoe Birkett's first night, she was on fire and really showed Melody Thornton how it should be done. She's the strongest she's ever been, highly recommended if you can get to Crawley tonight or the next 4 venues.
From September, Zoe will be replaced by Emily Williams for the rest of the tour.

All the time Zoe Birkett is belting out Whitney songs all is right in the world.
A well behaved audience tonight, but it was Bournemouth on a Monday. The usual sniggers when Rachel starts singing "he fills me up" and Frank's follow on line a few minutes later. Although thankfully not quite the full on guffaws we had one Saturday afternoon in Southampton a few years back where someone laughed too loud at that point and the rest of the theatre caught on to the lyrics.
Nice to see the alternate in the background providing backing vocals for some of the songs. She was also brilliant when I saw the tour a few months ago.

Oh gosh, that brings back memories of the last tour - she started to sing "He fills me up" and a rather intoxicated woman with a very Geordie accent bellowed out "Aye, I bet he does pet!"
