Zoe is pregnant.
Rachel John is having a six month break, when she get backs from Toronto.
Is it her? Would they give her the lead?

I would love them to give it to Rachel, but based on previous casting I would expect it to go to somebody semi-famous in the wider world.
However I could see Rachel being cast as the Alternate, which would be wonderful.

Rachel should have always been alternate!
Wouldn't object to having Stuart back, would surprise me tho. Really would hate it to be Ben!

Rachel taking a six month break (is she really - she wasn't that specific on twitter last I looked!) ties in with some other shows opening/changing cast anyway if she does have something else booked. It'd be great if she did get to play Rachel on tour (assuming she hasn't got some other lead role already booked!) but I agree, I expect it'll be a name.

Well a source says it will be a familiar face. Playing both Frank and Rachel.
I reckon it's Alexandra. What else does she have to do.

It could be Alexandra but I doubt she'd want to do a tour playing the role she played for 2 years again. I can imagine there's lots of producers who would want her in their shows and she probably also wants to make new music too. Also, in regards to your comment about Rachel never being alternate, it wouldn't surprise me if they did offer that role to her as well as Nicki but she chose Nicki because that meant she'd be on stage performing every night rather than performing just twice a week and would be understudy Rachel (and correct me if I'm wrong but the non-Bev shows weren't always that busy?)

They will need a big name for Rachel?
Who else has played the part?

They will need a big name for Rachel? Who else has played the part? Heather Headley, Gloria Ontri, Beverley Knight, Carole Stennett, Zoe Birkett, Joelle Moses and Alexandra Burke. If I'm honest, I'd be surprised if any of the really famous (Bev, Alex, Heather) played the role again on tour in the UK

I hope it's not Alexandra. I have heard, she isn't a nice person.
Heather would be amazing.

I really like her loads and would've really loved to have met her after Sister Act but she took ages to come out. She always seems nice onstage and on her social media but I've never met her so can't comment

Apparently I have heard from some source that's worked with her. All she cares about is herself. Not a very warm person, she was never down to do the London run, so would be interesting to see if she comes back.
I know someone that waited nearly until midnight, to see her but never came out, Which is up to her at the end of the day.She puts on a front at the stage door apparently. She has some really hard core fans who are not very nice.
Only getting this from someone that's worked with her. At the end of the day she's doing a job.

Interesting to hear stuff about whether she's a nice person or not. I don't know her, but I can offer a first-hand view. I went to see her in The Bodyguard at the Adelphi with a friend who is a personal friend of Alexandra's. There were probably about 5 or 6 of us as a group. After the show, we went to the stage door and our entire group was allowed up into her dressing room where Alexandra was, with a load of her friends and family who had also seen the show that night. She was one of the loveliest people I have ever met. She was totally warm and welcoming, funny, incredibly down to earth, generous, offering up all the food & drink in her room around to all, whether we knew her personally or not. We stayed there for ages and not once did it feel like an act or anything. Just lovely, like she'd welcomed us into her home. That's all I can say on the matter!

That's interesting. I have heard on her social media recently, how cruel she was to some of her hard core fans. Even unfollowed them. There's been a lot of bullying going on.
I guess she has her favourites. It's up to her at the end of the day. I am on the fence with her, as these stories have come from people she works with.
Let's see, if she's back next year with the bodyguard.

True, but these fans were so lovely to her. I don't get why she was so mean to them.
I think she's unfollowed the wrong ones. I can't stand to see bullying on social media.
Bev was so good with this issue.
I will miss Bev in the bodyguard.

^ I have to say I disagree with the above.
I met Alexandra before one of her shows in the Bord Gáis theatre in Dublin a few months back. I randomly bumped into her with my boyfriend in a supermarket nearby. She was dressed down, no makeup, was wearing a woolly hat and was buying snacks for 'after the show'. She chatted away for a little while and was incredibly gracious and sweet. We wished her well for the show. She thanked us and said she hoped we enjoyed it- she seemed genuinely grateful.
I also know one of the staff at the theater and they said she was kind and professional throughout. Also have read comments on social media from the Bodyguard crew praising her. I've never got the sense that 'all she cares about is herself'.
I would be interested to know in what capacity the person worked with her as it's directly opposite to my experience.
Maybe don't believe everything you hear, Hayley!
As for her unfollowing a fan on twitter, if the person is bothering her via direct messages etc, then it's understandable. Nobody has the right to a direct line to anyone on social media.

It was a person, that was in the first cast of the bodyguard tour leg. A very reliable source. I would be interesting to see,if they work together in the future. I have seen some of her lovely fans get picked on, on social media and she's not commented.
I guess it's the saying if your face fits. She is a talented singer. She sells seats and puts on a great show. 😊

She sells seats and puts on a great show. 😊 No doubt the experiences of fans are reliable too. It's easy to come on social media making wild accusations which aren't substantiated. Even if this one person doesn't like her, that is not the case for the whole team. I know that Alexandra is in touch with Stuart Reid who was her 'Bodyguard' and as evidenced by her instagram, they met up when she was in Belfast with Sister Act. He even brought her home to meet his family previously which doesn't sound like something which would be done with a mean colleague. As for your comment about her being cruel to a fan- one person's ardent fan is another person's stalker. It's all subjective. If a fan is harrassing her with relentless messages, she has every right to unfollow them. I actually have some direct knowledge of what's being alleged here. I follow AB on twitter and have observed some of the behaviour of a very small number of fans (3 or 4 at most). It is absurd and unfair to suggest that she has an obligation or the time to police the conduct of fans on Twitter. This is also all so irrelevant to the discussion of the Bodyguard musical.

I'm astonished some people seem to think anyone has an obligation to a) come out of the stage door and sign (incorrect); b) follow their fans on twitter and keep following them no matter what they do or say (both incorrect); c) police the behaviour of their fans on twitter (and so by extension read every tweet?) (again, incorrect).
The performers are not the property of the fans - not doing any of the things I've just listed does not make them a horrible person!
