Hello. I've been trying to avoid this page as I don't want ANY spoilers before I see the show in December, but a couple of questions folks: - when is press night (seems to have changed?) - anyone predicting any ticket offers will eventuate? (besides the TodayTix lottery)
THANKS!

Hi - there have been a few tix available on TKTS in previews; depends how the reviews go I guess, but there's still plenty of availability so might be worth holding out. Also check ATG+ if you are a member as they have dropped prices 1-2 hours before performances on the odd occasion.

I've got friends wanting to go with me and not wanting to pay £100+ for good seats!!

I went to see Vanya last night and afterwards went walking towards the Strand. By doing that, I ended up being across the road from the Savoy Theatre at the precise time the outside scene happens, which was fun to watch from outside the theatre as well.
Just leaving that here in case someone wants some extra quick entertainment after seeing Vanya.

You know I was thinking about this.
Again, I've not seen this production but from reading this thread, I know it happens, I guess he'll be potentially walking through rain and snow.

Rain he’s already conquered- security held umbrellas for him- but good point. And also when it’s generally bitterly cold… gasp, will they have to splurge for an overcoat (black, of course)

They don't need to bother with a coat, Tom Francis isn't outside for that long.

It would be cooler to use tablets or screens with "Justice for Patti" in red SB font.

While we all dress up in various LuPone costumes from her shows. Hundreds of Evita’s, Norma’s and Joanne’s lining the streets bringing attention to one of the biggest atrocities to have ever been perpetrated.

I believe a very similar thing happened when Glenn Close was in town performing Sunset at The Coliseum,(I think) members of the Gay Men's Choir stood waiting at the Stage Door in caftan's and turbans. I saw a photo of it somewhere online.

I keep seeing interviews with Nicole for this and she just sounds like an absolute basket case and I'm completely obsessed with her - like, the woman is COMMITTED to this and just sounds fully insane!

After what happened with JSO and Les Mis, anyone planning to disrupt the Act 2 opener would likely be manhandled by security!

Have they said why it is cancelled? I assume it's technical issues.

Gutted about tonight Does anyone know how ATG approach cancelled performances? Is it it a refund, or like for like priced seats or equivalent seats? It's particularly unfortunate because the prices go up after Press Night. The tickets I have for tonight are more than double the price going forward. Also, I wonder if it's cast illness or actually more technical difficulties... Either way - hope all involved are ok!

I believe they normally just do a straight refund of the price you paid - which seems particularly unfair in cases like these, when it's the last performance at preview prices that has been cancelled. And such a shame for those who had the prime £20 seats tonight! But maybe they'll do things differently this time?

It’s probably more technical difficulties, after last night. But the only way to confirm this is if the show DOES go on tomorrow night, and they Press as planned, because that will prove it wasn’t “cast illness”, which one would imagine would take longer to recover from than just a default 24 hours. If they lose the technical side on opening night, the whole “emperors new clothes” of it all will fall apart pretty quickly, and they won’t won’t to risk that happening. I've just bitten the bullet and decided to get a refund and have booked new tickets for December, paying an extra £40 each. I can't see any comparable seats for what I paid for tonight. I can just imagine the mad scramble with people trying to get decent seats for the same price. Hope I've done the right thing lol. In all my 30 years of theatre going, this is the first cancellation I've experienced!

Just spoke to ATG, it's either a full refund or seats offered at the same price (not equivalent location). I think I'm going to just ask for a refund, I live in London so am fortunate enough to buy tickets for shows spontaneously so can get cheaper tickets on the day. I just hope tickets don't completely disappear after opening night!
