100% not happening at the Apollo, it's at a very different theatre (not on Shaftesbury Ave)

Almost funny how wrong the initial tweet ended up being ! How do we know yet it was wrong? We still don't know where it's going.

100% not happening at the Apollo, it's at a very different theatre (not on Shaftesbury Ave) clearly the real plans are becoming a bit more common knowledge than a random twitter-er's flawed speculation..

It'll be the Apollo before Time Traveller's if this is accurate surely you thought it would be The Apollo too, no?

Speculation from a random twitter-er and random theatreboarder-er look the same to me! Also before that tweet no one here had mentioned A Strange Loop even coming to the West End. So random Twitter-er has the edge!

...actually speechless that the god awful production is headed to the West End... Same. It was a dreadful musical. If it happens, it will somewhere like the Young vic. This would absolutely tank in the west end, even for a short run.

This would absolutely tank in the west end, even for a short run. I would be delighted if it simply had a limited run at Young Vic (which would be more than ideal) or Lyric Hammersmith. I agree it would flop for a commercial run but, as someone who thinks the show is f***ing brilliant, my assessment has more to do with the nature of today's theatregoing public and their expectations when it comes to musicals than it does about this show. I would hardly agree that this Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award Winning Best Musical is 'dreadful' but yes, it is not for everyone. But it will definitely have its fans and be a point of some very interesting conversations.

Any Barbican members who can see the performance schedule? Specifically would like to know performance days and times for August 9 to 17. Thanks.

Jeez this show was bad. Very interested to see if it can eek out a 12 week run in a large theatre

I'm not interested in this at all, but from all I know it's a fairly intimate show, so the vast Barbican (and its pricing) seem a weird/odd/wrong choice. I always thought it would be typical fare for the Young Vic or another smallish theatre with that kind of programming.
