I saw this for the second time on Monday night, having picked up a front row ticket on the day. The stage height was fine for me. It was the final Dave Willett's show and I was very impressed by his performance. Eu Jin Hwang was also on as Marcel (although the cast board did not show this).
As so often happens, I enjoyed this much more from the front. Beautiful sound quality. I also thought that Jamie Bogyo came across really well. Now, as it happens, I was at the same side of the stage as his bedroom scenes, but I assure you that has not influenced my opinion.
Musically, this is one of the best ALW scores. The book itself is not as strong, but I would still quite happily watch this again. It's a shame really that this didn't find an audience.

Gorgeous sets and lighting, very sweeping and cinematic, shame it doesn't have a story that feels particularly interesting. Orchestra sounded beautiful.
Also a shame that flop shows don't make stars out of people because Laura Pitt Pulford is acting her ass off and made me forget half the time how dull-yet-strange the plot was, and she got some spontaneous but well deserved applause after her big act two number.
Michael Ball is clearly enjoying himself, and I guess that's nice to see, Danielle and Jamie weren't particularly great. 2/5.

Still collecting my thoughts as there are certainly some weak moments and missed opportunities (mainly in what could be bigger ensemble numbers) but I found it really involving. I always forget how quite how many aspects of love it touches on (and yes, only 'touching on' them can be a criticism). My fears about them watering it down for a commercial West End / Michael Ball audience were misplaced - it goes to the awkward places, and all the better for it. Jamie's voice was marvellous.

Booked tickets for this evening. 4th time. It's sad this wasn't more successful. I genuinely don't really understand quite a bit of the criticism this receives.

Perfect final performance. Everyone was amazing - Seeing is Believing was honestly electric.
Really lovely touch having all of the swings and young Jenny’s in the ensemble. The ensemble was huge as a result, but it was just wonderful. Everyone got to perform tonight - actually think this should be the norm for final performances! Perfect send off!

I remember him making the comments about younger performers at the time he was in hairspray.
Plus to be honest, all you have to do is follow some on social media and you see how undisciplined many are. Theatre also seems to be a career where its easy to call out. If I called in sick to my job as much as some actors do, I'd be on disciplinary or being monitored.

They can just claim mental health blah blah blah and producers have no way to come back against that. Everyone’s a bit too precious. If I have a bad day- I need to pick myself and get on with it- or I don’t get paid. It’s quite the incentive to not take a ‘sick’ day.

If I called in sick to my job as much as some actors do, I'd be on disciplinary or being monitored. Just revisit the cinderella phase about how delicate a lot of the younger performers are. ALW gives critical feedback and they're freaking out. Diva's without ever having been able to prove themselves worthy of that title. Here you have Michael Ball sharing how he did a workshop for Sunset only to see the role go to someone else the next year. Did his life end? Was his career ruined? No. Was it pleasant? No - but that's called life. Learn to deal. Grow.
