Well it appears the Golden Globes jury liked JC's performance enough to nominate him for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy... But not their darling Meryl even though the Comedy/Musical acting categories are so weak this year. Weird. I'd much rather have seen Jo Ellen Pellman and Ariana DeBose nominated. They got Hamilton wrong as well by giving its only acting nomination to the worst actor in the cast...! Daveed Diggs and Renee Elise Goldsberry should feel hard done by, and Leslie Odom Jr should have had two nominations.

I need to bring myself up to speed with the noms; but Jane Levy from Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist (nominated for Best actress in a TV series - musical or comedy) looks so similar to Jo Ellen Pellman; I would have been amused if Jo was nominated too!

The Globes are known for some funny nomination choices!
They’re voted for by just 96 journalists and I am sure they deliberately troll the other award shows sometimes.

I'm baffled by people who say that Corden's performance was too OTT, but dont say a word about Streep.
I can understand that Corden's performance wasn't award worthy, but there's no way in hell that Streep's was. She practically spat out what was left of the scenery after devouring it. Dont get me wrong,i thought she was great, but award worthy??

Also. I May Destroy You. NO nominations. Sacrilege!!!!!! How can Emily in Paris be nominated instead? It was entertaining but IMDY is so important. Needs more recognition.

I saw the show in New York (with another member on TB - hope he sees this) it was good Barry having more of a backstory. If anything, I felt like Emma didn’t get much in the film adaptation in terms of narrative.

It was only really American critics a lot of whom were probably self loathing 'masc' gays or overly woke Twitter nobodies who got annoyed by his campness. The irony is of course (and Americans don't get irony) is that in criticising 'camp' they are actually being homophobic...oh and misogynistic if we want to make out that camp = feminine which of course it doesn't. Most gay men are camp to some degree (especially Americans), in fact I've never met a gay man totally devoid of camp (myself included) so why we pretend it doesn't exist instead of celebrating it in all it's fabulousness is beyond me x

This stunned me as it was the best thing on television by far last year and got nothing. Emily was ok, but it was so light it almost glided off the television screen.

Hahahahaa.... You have no idea. Maybe in your rainbow glitter circle Queen. Most my gay mates are either geeks, bikers, bears, punks, leather guys, serious businessmen, builders, politicians or muscle tattooed pigs and are NOT the stereotypical camp, limp wristed, show tune loving, West End Wendy’s that you suggest. But perhaps I’m older than you, Hm. Back to my nail file and Kylie now. #snap

(that failed miserably) It sounds like your 'gay mates' are just pictures from a typical 'gay sterotype' calender. Maybe 'The Cop' or 'The Sailor' will be Mr March or Mr April....
