Not too surprising, I assume it'll be a commercial production rather than at one of the non profits.

Deadline reports that a miniseries is in the works, with Stephen Daldry directing and Patrick Marber writing the screenplay (he directed the play at the West End and currently on Broadway). Steven Spielberg and his production company Amblin are producing: deadline.com/2023/05/tom-stoppard-leopoldstadt-series-patrick-marber-script-stephen-daldry-direct-amblin-steven-spielberg-ep-1235375758/Wasn’t Daldry also working on the miniseries adaptation of The Inheritance? Although it flopped on Broadway (opposite to its original reception at the West End), it won the top awards at the Tonys. Although he recently returned to direct some episodes of The Crown for its final season. Has anyone seen Leopoldstadt on Broadway? Its grosses at Longacre Theatre are quite low and they never sold out, but it’s been running since late last year.

Its grosses at Longacre Theatre are quite low and they never sold out, but it’s been running since late last year. I saw it on Broadway a few weeks back and enjoyed it. It did drag a little in places and sometimes it was difficult to match the older version of so many characters with the younger cast as they aged. I was a little put off with the feedback before and was worried it would be a drag but it really wasn't. All cast members were very solid too. Full house with standing ovation at the end. I actually think this would work well as a miniseries. It gives them more time to flesh out some of the character's back stories, which I think will make the ending even more impactful if we get a chance to spend more time with them as the years go by.
