He did an absolutely wonderful one off concert of this a few years ago at The Palace Theatre with an amazing cast and big orchestra.

Really? I loved Jake in Sunday but I don’t think he has the voice for Sweeney (even in Sunday his voice was tired by the end).

They still want to do this with Jake sometime next year. He's currently being sought to take over from Josh in Sweeney Todd for 5ish months so that would warm him up for Sunday.
hahahahahahahahaha

I really enjoyed the Quick Fantastic production in the Yvonne Arnaud’s Mill Studio last night. Has anyone else seen it?
A mixture of professional and nonprofessional performers, it was an honour to experience this score in such an intimate setting.
Laura Sillett is such an enigmatic Dot. It was worth sitting in the front row alone to see every side-eye and minor expression on her face. And Alastair Brookshaw’s George was simply inspired. I couldn’t tear my eyes away from him.
Complete with a fantastic ensemble, I’m so glad I caught this during its short run in Guildford. Who knows when we will get the opportunity to see it again?
Four stars.
