Completely forgot about this, but just managed to get a Pinter stage seat with the link from the previous page.
I got confused. I thought the stage seats were £25, but when I got into the part to select date and seat, there was nothing under £77.50. I gave up

The link is only sent to those who signed up via the website. hmm even though it says the promo code has been applied when i click on to dates it doesn't show any on stage seating
Same. I was puzzled, and figured the on stage seats had already gone. I logged on at 12.04 - as soon as a I got the email

It’s damn near impossible to get a signal in work, so tried logging in to ATG on my work computer on the off-chance that the theatrecard membership would let me see them, but it didn’t.
Despite promoting it as ‘sold out’ they do seem to have found a load of extra tickets from somewhere, many of them at the higher price bands too.🤔
Paid more than I would have wanted to, and I have a feeling I might have some musicians in the way, but I got one for the date I wanted. Just need to actually be able to get there now.

If I was logged in to my account, it removed the promo code associated with the stage seats to make them visible so I had to book without logging in and will have to try and get ATG to refund me the booking fee.

The calendar page where you select the dates/times does states tickets are £77.50 and above but when you select the date/time, the promo price for the stages are available at £35. Or at least they were when I booked them. Their page wasn't clear so I understand the confusion.

Ah, I missed out. It was completely unclear to me. Thanks for explaining

Do we know if the Richmond shows are the previews and they're going straight into opening night in the Pinter or if the first few shows at the Pinter are still previews?

While I was considering if I could afford this, it sold out. I guess that settles the dilemma then. :(

They’ve brought forward the release of extra tickets to today!
Onsale from 10am, only just got an email but got in after a short queue and was able to get a front row seat on-stage.
£35, so not a bad price, and should be quite an experience!

Unexpected email in inbox. 4min wait in the queue and managed to bag an on stage seat for the day after I see Groundhog Day. That'll be an interesting trip.

They’ve also released £10 standing tickets for every date (not that anyone would want to stand for nearly 4 hours).
The onstage seats are honestly quite cheap compared to the pricing for the regular seats - they’ll definitely sell out so would recommend anyone who wants to see this to grab a ticket now!

They’ve also released £10 standing tickets for every date (not that anyone would want to stand for nearly 4 hours). My thoughts exactly - I was tempted but not sure what the standing view is like, and it’s far too long to stand (for me anyhow). I’m also concerned the on-stage bench seating could get pretty uncomfortable for that length of time but I’ll just have to deal with that. The website has some good FAQs about how it’ll work (no popping out and back to use the bathroom!) but does confirm those sat there are able to leave their seats during the interval thankfully.

Took the plunge and bought a ticket a few weeks back when I was worried this would sell out. Didn’t think I’d be interested in today’s tickets as a result, but my curiosity about the on-stage tickets got the better of me! Found one for £25 so thought it’d be worth it for the experience.
That said, this does mean I’m now off to see this twice so I really hope I don’t hate it!
I’d been thinking about reading the book beforehand but I’m not sure if it might be better to go in blind. Has anyone read it who would recommend either way?

No idea what the stage show will be like ( and no idea why it should be turned into one either) but the book is the greatest novel I’ve read. It’s big but once started it won’t be. You won’t want to stop if only because of all the devastating subject matter. . I believed the characters were real and still do. Sobbed like a baby more than once. The writing is beautiful. Sell your tickets Ensemble, and read the novel instead. Then read her latest which has just gone to paperback.
PS If you know nothing at all about the play I’d strongly advise you at least make yourself aware of some of the issues it will cover. The material in the book is not for vulnerable people.

Late to this but just to say; having originally bought a back-of-beyond £15 seat at Richmond I've just now booked a back of the stage £25 jobbie up west. No idea which will work out to be the better but, goodness me, The Pinter knows how to squeeze every penny out of a production.
Anyway, £25 on the stage still available 10 mins ago - certainly at the back end of the run.

The website shows that this is what the onstage seating will look like: It also says "the actors will be facing away from the back of the stage for portions of the show" but for £25-£35, you can't go wrong, and it will definitely be an experience. The website also confirms a TodayTix daily lottery: "Daily from 12am, a limited number of £25 lottery tickets will be released via Today Tix for each performance."

The extent of my knowledge is that it’s pretty heavy… that’s it! Think I’ll give it a read beforehand. If nothing else, I’ll be able to see how good an adaptation of the original text it is.

It is a huge novel... 800+ pages.
I have it but haven't dared start it yet!!

I loved the novel and the play, but both have been a bit divisive in terms of their intensity and the trauma involving one of the main characters.

Oh I really hope you guys appreciate the book as much as I do. And the play. And Steva you are right it is intense but I found the graphically straightforward way she writes, particularly without issuing judgement on the traumatic actions of one of the main characters is what makes it such a powerful piece. I hope stary theatrically doesn’t turn it into something divisive.
