Whilst I'm sad that means no transfer of the Circle in the Square production, it's a great fit for outdoors and I can't wait!

Never seen this one but I'm looking forward to it.
OAT have planned a great looking season. I'm wanting to see the 3 main shows.

Another exciting announcement! I only know 'A Human Heart' from this show, but this may finally get me to the Open Air.
When do tickets go on sale?

She's...too old?

She’s only a couple years older than LaChanze was

Now I'm very very interested in this. She is incredible.

Not loving the casting so far personally, both leads look much older than I’d pictured them but I’ll reserve judgement until I see them perform.

She just reads much older than the character is supposed to be (so did LaChanze for reference but she kind of got away with it as she's so young looking)
Very strange casting against what we had in the Broadway revival...

That promo image makes...no sense.
Some of the casting makes...no sense.
Has anyone involved read or seen it?

What a truly bizarre piece of key art.

A shame because it's a great, fun show, but their artwork shows absolutely none of the fun, and (with the greatest of respect) they've hired a bunch of people largely no one has ever heard of (I am a big theatre fan and I recognised...3 people?)
A not hugely well known show, with a not well know cast (in any roles)...they really better knock it out the park with La Cage

It's a show I've wanted to see for a while, but I'm waiting for 1) better weather and 2) cheaper tickets

Or people can go see more diverse things. Do people go to OAT to see names??

Not celebrity names but they're usually good at attracting west end names so yes i do look at OAT for names. Especially after last year's questionable cast choices.

I don't know as people go to OAT to see names, but I'd like to see established stars take leads in their productions personally - like, La Cage should be someone like Hadley Fraser as he's an established MT star and should get to play a great role like that. Carousel attracted established MT stars (Jo Riding, Declan Bennett, Carly Bawden) as did Into The Woods etc (that was FULL of established stars) - I just think if it's the keep up with the rest of theatre going on, it needs to be offering something tht (on face value) is the same level. That's my two cents anyway - do with it what you will

I’d say the lack of print marketing (not seen anything anywhere in london?) won’t have helped
