Panto out of season? Perhaps done before but it does appear strange.

Sorry, i didn't see another post. My phone is 5 mins slow I'm sure.
I saw Ian McKellen do Mother Goose at The Old Vic, first time he had ever done panto. He was hilarious and filthy.

I love a panto and always book Hackney Empire where it's also Mother Goose this year. Paid £24 for front row stalls at an early matinee there.
I started to book this but equivalent seat at the Duke Of York's costs £85. It's ATG but no £13 Price Promise seats here. Great casting but too expensive for me.
Much cheaper at the Theatre Royal, Brighton but the Saturday matinee there isn't yet on sale for some reason.

Never booked for something so fast in my life! He did ten minutes of Widow Twankey in his solo show and it was my favourite part, funny and filthy.

Jonathan Harvey writes the best and funniest lines on Corrie so I'm sure it's going to be really good.

I remember his filthy Twankey at the Old Vic but this show is described as "family friendly" so his Goose might be a bit constrained this time.

The perfect person to script a panto. As a playwright he's probably best known for Beautiful Thing - but he's written some very funny comedies too! I imagine he'd do a good panto script.

Jonathan Harvey writes the best and funniest lines on Corrie so I'm sure it's going to be really good. The problem is that he puts those words in the mouths of characters who wouldn't have the wit or vocabulary to come up with them. The jarring spoils the joke.

He has written some wonderful lines for Mary, Blanche and Evelyn to name just 3 and I really can imagine them saying those lines.

Mel Geidroyc no longer appearing: Glad I didn’t book tickets now. Mel is my fave person so, more than anything, I hope she and her family are OK.
