Tour cast seem to have retained their old costumes, unlike London who all now have the Broadway redesign.

With Lauren Byrne in Cinderella now and Carly Dyer in Anything Goes it’ll be interesting to see the Jane Seymour situation

Hull New Theatre from 21 to 25 July 2021. Tickets already on sale.
Between those bookings that were transferred, and new sales, there is already very limited availability, especially in the stalls.

New Tour cast.
I don't mean this disrespectfully at all, they're all incredibly talented performers - but it doesn't sit quite right with me that there is a VERY real chance of there being shows with an all-white cast..

No doubt all true Queens have already seen this, but for the rest of us... They'll always have Leeds! ❤

Caught this last week in Blackpool, all leads other than Bolelyn (Nat Pilkington) and Parr (Harriet Watson). And wow, what a cast and show! Perfect to see as my first musical since March 2020. Have seen the show twice before, but the energy that night was insane and I had a bloody good time!

Has the tour set been updated to reflect Broadway and London?

Has the tour set been updated to reflect Broadway and London? I don't think so, Cleves still sits on a pull-out bench for Get Down rather than the new throne in London, I suppose that's easier to tour with

Was Hull the first date for the UK tour? Or did play elsewhere before Hull Please?

Was Hull the first date for the UK tour? Or did play elsewhere before Hull Please? They started with several weeks in Canterbury and then a week each in Leeds, Blackpool and Newcastle.

I’m just on my way to the first night at The Mayflower Southampton. It looks to be sold out so 2300 in the audience! Have they had that size crowd before? I saw it at a half capacity Lyric theatre earlier in the year so this will be on another level!!

For smaller (I.e. not Wicked, Lion King, etc.) touring shows the Mayflower often don’t put the balcony on sale, so it may not be completely full. Even without that it’s a big audience though!

It surprised me when I looked but there were a couple in the balcony available so looks like full at 3 levels. (I’m in the stalls so can’t see up there but I can’t see that they would only sell part of the balcony)

Loads of understudies tonight it looks like - I think Vicki Manser is the only (current) principal cast member on, everyone else is an understudy apart from Athena Collins who is returning as Parr for tonight.

I didn’t get a programme so not sure normal cast, I saw on Twitter Natalie Pilkington was on. We had: QUEENS: Catherine of Aragon - Cassandra Lee Anne Boleyn - Bryony Duncan Jane Seymour - Natalie Pilkington Anna of Cleves - Liv Alexander Katherine Howard - Victoria Manser Catherine Parr - Athena Collins LADIES IN WAITING: Joan - Sarah Burrell Maggie - Frankie South Bessie - Kat Bax Maria - Vanessa Domonique They were amazing. Such an atmosphere in a full massive theatre for the first time in too long!

Seems like the Belfast dates for both this and Heathers may get delayed due to Northern Ireland's Covid restrictions. The shows were sold at full capacity with no distancing in mind and there may be no decisions on opening until after October 14th.

Social distancing restrictions for theatres in Northern Ireland are now being eased this week, so hopefully everything goes ahead with the Opera House reopening for Six next Wednesday night, also because I have tickets for that night

Saw the tour in Belfast last night. First time seeing the show, clearly I have also been living under a rock as I basically went in blind knowing only 1 song.
It did not disappoint. Had full cast. Stand out for me was Lauren Drew, her voice was just stunning.
Also great to see my local theatre back open. And Covid vaccine checks were in full operation.

I've Heather's booked for next week, what was the queuing system like for the checks and were masks mandatory within the auditorium? I know they're not mandatory if in the cinema and seated at the moment. I can't wait to get back to theatre it's been far too long!

They were checking IDs and vaccine cards at the door as you entered the building, there were 3 queues to get in to try and do it faster. Masks I don’t know if it’s mandatory, quite a few took theirs off as the show started, but I kept mine on.
