Why are these guys not in EVERYTHING? I know. I wish they would get commissioned to do a Goes Wrong TV series, with a series of episodes of them trying to do everyday things & it Going Wrong: The Supermarket Trip That Goes Wrong, The Holiday That Goes Wrong, The Commute That Goes Wrong (co-starrring Southern Rail!), maybe even go all meta & do The Theatre Visit That Goes Wrong ;-) The video: proof that there is no circumstance under which Henry Shields will not fall over! Henry Lewis playing the desk is very Lights! Camera! Improvise!-esque. PS Avoiding any accusations of favouritism by not liking either of the above video posts!

The UK tour must be doing extremely well. I have just seen that it is back at my local theatre in August, only 4 months after its forthcoming visit in April (which is sold out). I don't remember any other show returning to the theatre that quickly before. There's a certain irony that the tour is selling more now with a replacement cast than it did on the first tour with the original cast.

Heard that Henry Shields pulled a muscle a few days ago mid-show, and Matt Cavendish took over for Act 2 whilst simultaneously making his Broadway debut (or should that be day-boo?)!! When it goes wrong it goes wrong!!

Sounds like rehearsals are predictably disastrous!

Is that Tom Cruise's photo for Jack Baldwin?

Saw this last night on tour, and very much enjoyed it. I will say personally I remember laughing a lot more at Peter Pan Goes Wrong but I'm mainly putting that down to the fact I have a stinking cold right now so I wasn't at my perky/laughing best last night (also it hurts to laugh). All that said the cast are on top form, and are frankly flawless. It's such a masterclass in perfect timing and the layers of the show that go into making the jokes are what makes me, despite usually giving farce as wide a berth as possible still love this lot.

The announcement of the new cast has reminded me I should try to get down and see the current group. Only time I've been in the last year or so was to see the originals in their Broadway preview week.

I love the Mischief lot, they are brilliant, but you would of thought, with thr amount of money this show has made, they would at lesst update the front of the programmes with pictures of the current cast rather than the originals.

Even the Australian tour programme has the original cast on the front.

Well... it is bloody brilliant isn't it. But must be said, one of the biggest jumps I have ever had in the theatre was when the fire during Act I happened! Even from the back of the Dress I was like "holy sh*t!"

Should that be in spoiler tags danieljohnson14? I know it doesn't spoil the plot but it would take away the surprise if someone knew it was coming?

What a fantastic play, really enjoyed it! It deserves all its success and more! And they had a special little surprise at the end of the show, they gave an Easter Egg to their special audience member.

Ooh. Now. If and Jamie Birkett goes on, I will be tempted to go back and see this show, which I wasn't sure I would.

Lovely to see a Mischief production finally receive a nomination for an award that isn't just Best New Comedy. This morning, The Play That Goes Wrong received a nomination at the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Set Design!

Isn't it interesting, in the UK this play gets nominated only for things like Best New Comedy/Best Family & Entertainment, as with all Mischief Shows, yet in the States it just picked up another nomination for its Set, this time at the Drama Desk!

I think in the States they know it is good but can't quite work out why, so set is what stands out for this show doesn't it?

Well I think it's mostly the fact that their award shows don't separate comedy into its own category so The Play That Goes Wrong has had to compete with a number of more serious works and this year has been exceedingly good for new Broadway plays, which has left The Play That Goes Wrong in the dark a bit unfortunately.
