I don't know about prediction, but I did recently think Richard Armitage would be good

My other predictions are: Simon Pegg or David Thewlis.
My personal pick for Scrooge is Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Simon Pegg hasn't done theatre so I'm not sure if he'd be interested. My choice is still Shaun Evans.

I stand by mine. Peter Capaldi. This is a great choice, but I'm not sure if this would feel too gimmicky after having Eccleston last year. If I were to pick Doctor Who related actors for my choice as Scrooge, Catherine Tate would be my first choice. She's already done a take on it with 'Nan', but I think she would make an amazing Scrooge in this play. It would also be great to see Paul McGann play Scrooge as well.

I weirdly love the idea of Miles Jupp as Scrooge. Not the usual type at all, but I think he would bring something new to it.

If they’re going to go with Doctor Who, I’d go the other direction and go for Sylvester McCoy.

I weirdly love the idea of Miles Jupp as Scrooge. Not the usual type at all, but I think he would bring something new to it. Miles was brilliant in The Life I Lead, the one-man play about David Tomlinson so I reckon he could be a great new take on Scrooge.

We must surely be due an announcement soon regarding this year's Scrooge... I swear one year it was around September it was announced. So could be anytime

We must surely be due an announcement soon regarding this year's Scrooge... Christopher Eccleston was announced last year on June 20th, so hopefully we get an announcement soon

I wouldn’t be surprised if they announce it in August once The Real Thing is underway.

Slight change to the seat plan by looks of it. H24 no longer exists and we have been moved along same row.
Don't know if other seats have changed too

I'd say John Sim seems very likely based on those two pictures
But it did also remind me a bit of Ben Daniels

Looks like John Simm, but not sure how I feel. I'm booked several times anyway regardless but big shoes to fill.

He's not an actor that I particularly like. But it could be worse, and I can see him in the role

John Simm can play mean well, he was The Master after all. The Doctor last year and The Master this year. Soon Scrooge won't need the ghosts as he can use the TARDIS to visit the past, present and future!
