Expensive indeed. Looks to be a couple of £15 and £37.50 tix for each show. Good for the Almeida I say, a lot of the profits should go back to support the venue. The early bird definite caught the worm on this one.

Oh man, look at all those £200-£300 seats. Absolutely criminal... I will absolutely take my £25 ticket and seat a bit far away from the stage. (Also, I confess I didn't pay too much attention to the prices at the higher end as I knew I couldn't afford to pay whatever they were).

Whoops! Has someone at ATG pressed the wrong button?!
I’m tempted but at those prices it’d be the upper circle for me. Was just about bearable for Come From Away running straight through but for a long play I’m not sure I’d could cope with it - does anyone know the approx run time?

Thank you so much for sharing this. I'm not able to book tomorrow morning so thought I'd miss out but I've just managed to book a ticket for the date I wanted. Grand Circle but a central seat so I'm happy with that

Some people book 3-months ahead, some 3-hours. For the latter, £200 is what £20 is to me. Theatre fans who plan ahead had the chance long ago, this is pitched at a different market now.
In these circs, I'm happy enough to see those with significant disposable income also subsidise subsidised theatre in London.

I don't want to start an argument, but there were plenty of theatre fans who couldn't get tickets previously because they sold out so quickly. Also, while I accept £100 tickets are necessary to keep theatres going, I stand by my comments that £200-300 is excessive.

£300? Wow, that's obscene.
Very glad I saw this in a "partially restricted" stalls seat at the Almeida!

That was the weird thing about people queuing, sometimes from 7.30am. If you wanted a ticket, you could get returns online. Hard but far from having to queue. I even spoke to the box office after the show closed (changing other bookings) and they were surprised about the queuing, as well.
The West End transfer was harder, I believe. Though, again, if you were only reasonably aware, perfectly doable. As in 'Twitter says > better book today'.

Looks like they took all those new seats off sale. Well that answers my question about whether ATG meant to put tickets on sale today.

Well, I hope the Almeida is getting a significant chunk of that money.

Tickets are on sale and I managed to get through the queue in about 10mins. I loved this at the Almeida so was keen to book again, but these prices are a joke - 3rd row is £300! There is of course the £15 seats in the new set of dates but it's so far away from the stage that you probably won't be able to see much.
Looks like front row isn't on sale - assuming there will be a lottery or something; I'll just enter that everyday! lol

Using the link they emailed me on Safari and Chrome opened on my desktop, laptop, phone and iPad, my waiting room queue numbers were anywhere between 321 and 16,000 so got in and out with no problem.
Glad the worrying of being able to get a ticket for the one performance I’m able to make it to is over.
